Okay, I have to give Kane some credit here. I read this on the US forums and this method indeed DOES work. I was able to get the rest of my E3 awards with the help of this.
Their suggestion to switch your DNS settings won't do anything to help. it really has little to do with Home's rewards. It's a generic fix if your having problems connecting to PSN. So if you are having problems connecting, or have bad connections, then changing DNS might help.
I honestly kind of stopped playing Novus Prime now, since I have lots of rewards from when I was first furnishing my apartment, and don't want to lose access completely.
that method does work, it just worked for me, i made a second account and sent myself something. i was able to get the E3 stuff but when i went to the garage (where i got the error) it froze up again giving me something, so i guess its a problem with the garage. at least i got my e3 swag.
It's probably not the garage. It's likely it's the reward. Getting any reward now is like playing Russian Roulette with your acct.
i guess so, i could always make another account and try the whole thing over again. but i can wait until sometime this wek to get to go to my garage. i mostly just wanted the E3 stuff.
Ok, that latest solution for the freeze bug worked for me, the one on the official forums where you delete game utility data, go in with a different account, give yourself the 2011 headgear from the Lockwood gift machine then claim it with your main account. I managed to scoop all the E3 rewards, the WKC suit (soooo glad I got it at last, I've done that quiz lots of times with just a freeze to show for it) and two baseline rewards. I then had a bit of a wander and played some more SFRGT and baseline before getting all brave and going to my Aurora apartment and playing the turret game. Frozen again! Still, I got in briefly and got the stuff I really wanted. With the fix hopefully coming soon I think I'll just wait now. Still, I'm intrigued. When you hit the bug in Aurora and delete game utility data (destroying your reward), will it keep trying to award it or is it gone forever?
If you only delete Data Game Utility you will freeze each time you arrive in a Aurora space. After using the fix(es) (several diff.), I was issued that pesky level 45 reward and I am now slowly progressing (level 47). I did seem to lose a female tshirt, level 3 of swingers and I think I may not lose any Conspiracy rewards but I'm waiting possibly for a true fix before I continue there. IDK? I shouldn't be posting when I'm exhausted. :sleep1:
I believe I may have the top spot now! 5 freebugs for me! :vb_banghead: Just tonight I received my 5th freezing item reward or freebug as I'm too commonly calling this horrendous situation now. Got this freebug at an Aurora personal space whilst getting the level 55 reward. We're apparently getting a whole lot better at fixing this or the routine keeps getting simplified, either way I used the Tron fix. Whoever came up with that, I dunno, it's all getting a bit blurry now, but it sure worked well for me. As Dan and others here on YPSH have suggested, we may just need to delete the Home icon in the Game Data Utility and receive a new item reward. I hadn't gotten any Tron rewards on my NA account and merely opened up the path to one of the games by standing next to those flickering 5 patterns on the walls to receive my Flynn Lives t-shirt and once again solve that freebug situation. LONG LIVE FLYNN! p.s. i refuse to tip-toe on eggshells around Home, i'm STOMPING, it's messy but still fun
So... today is supposed to be the day we see an end to reward freeze. Here's hoping. I've got an Aurora reward in my Game Data Utility file, all ready to freeze me on load-up, so I'll be able to tell right away if I'm fixed. Just waiting for the update to hit now.
i guess i have gotten lucky so far, since i have been back i have not had any problems getting rewards on all my accounts . also as far as i know i have not lost any of the rewards items i had already gotten either (atleast hoping lol) but i do have 2 gift machines lol.
Well, I had one item still in Game Data Utility, ready to freeze me on login, but 1.51 handled it with ease. No problems since, either. I think we've seen an end to this curse at last.
I got a problem that came from the item bug error, When i went to do a temp fix for it i went to conspiracy and played tutorial 2 for the glasses but now i can't win the item since it's been fixed, I did the home delete and the file that's in the Utility folder and reinstall and still can't.. Any idea's on how get it ? I'm guessing no but why not try..
