I figured as much... It's just funny how the same method won't work again. Guess we'll just have to wait for this fix and hope they give out all the E3 items after they "fix" it.
I got infected by E3 myself... Got stuck at the Sweet Tooth Mask. Sucks, because I wanted the R&C companion.
We gotta friggin pray that these temp fixes work at least for the rest of E3. Or better yet till the permanent fix they promised at the end of the month
I just got this stupid thing and I dont have any stupid pickories and have pretty much everything at spaces spo I'm screwed. I got hit with this at e3 with my very first reward. Now I can't get on. They should never have had this stuff if they didn't have a fix.
i'm not sure if this is worse that the network outage. its ok if i know i can't use my ps3, but being able to use playstation home with E3 being waved in my face and knowing the awesome rewards i can't get right now....this is much more irritating.

Cool. Thanks to both of you for the info. Another friend mentioned this somewhere else too. I wonder if i'll be able to get the first 2 e3 items and the new psp thing item. All three of which froze me today so as everyone knows it didn't actually give them to me but also registers that I received them . Which has happened to me with trailers in the psn store as well, oddly enough.
Pickories are the latest fix, eh? Wouldn't you just know it, I have every Loco Roco reward already right up to and including the giant pickle costume. Today I was thinking and came to the conclusion that the only type of reward that might help unfreeze your account it's something that your avatar can wear, so if your only option is the gift machine don't send some decorating gift use an item that your avatar can wear. I tried the fix with the Lockwood gift machine but each time I used an ornament gift it didn't work. I haven't heard of anyone that has been able to fix this problem with a decoration reward. Hopper thought we should put this out there, maybe it can help someone having trouble with the freezing. Also from the 3 times I fixed my account the only file that I deleted is the Home one in the game data utility folder, I didn't even re-install home.
Turns out I have been able to do the Lockwood gifting fix with non-wearable items Dan, so I guess it can be done that way too. I believe I fixed it with a gift-wapped 16 credit present twice now. It's turning out nigh impossible to make sense of why this is happening! I would like to add, though, that getting gifted Night Sky earrings from you was much, much nicer. Thanks again for fixing me! :bigsmile: (FYI - I got the bleeping bug freeze a 4th time whilst trying to get the Mansion Garage's pot-o-gold on my EU account when visiting Dan in NA. We had a coin flip to see who got to go first between me and Hopper. I won. Yay. :fear

This is a reply that I got back from Lockwood regarding the Gift Machine items that I lost in the process of trying to self-fix this freeze bug. The people at Lockwood are so cool and just have the right idea about how to run a first-class operation. Not to mention, I think their items and spaces are the best in Home. I wish we could have one of their developers on this site. Amazing what a difference it makes to deal with a company that truly understands the importance of simple, and sometimes direct, communication with their customers! Btw, any ideas on what the DNS settings part of this might be about? I didnt understand that--why would I want Google's DNS settings on my PS3? Gift Machine Gifts are treated as Home rewards, so with the current reward issue affecting Home may well explain why the pillows are currently missing from your inventory. With this being a wider Home issue we regret that there is nothing we are able to do to resolve the problem directly, but we would encourage you to contact Sony PlayStation Support directly. However, if the Gift Machine sees the items as having been sent to you, once the wider reward issue has been resolved the pillows should be automatically updated to your inventory when you access the gift machine. You may find that updating your PS3’s DNS information may also be of help. You can do this in the settings menu. DNS is sort of like an internet phone book for connecting to website domains. It allows you to route your internet to the right place. PS3s have an automatic setting for DNS. But if that ever stops working I use Google's free service. Or sometimes OpenDNS.org Here's Google's official page on their DNS server http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/ It's trustworthy and legit. But the DNS isn't the problem here. It's that Sony's Home software and server Fubared the transaction. It may be in your reward list. Or if it didn't get that far, there's probably no record of it. BTW, there are hacker DNS servers too. They used them in the past to trick Home to give rewards. But if you use one, any data you send, including your name and passwords, credit cards, etc can be intercepted. So be wary of them. I'm not saying they will take it, but it's blind trust of someone you don't know.

Good news Chad. Thanks for posting. The 16th is way better than the 30th that they mentioned before. I'll try to remain positive that this won't be a repeat of the Psn estimates lol. Really sorry to here that Trillian. I'm planning to stay away from rewards until we have official word that it's fixed.
I tried desperately for hours several fixes posted to see if i could unfreeze my account to no avail. I tried the gift machine fix, tron apt, ect. Nothing was working almost gave up! Then by accident i happened to see if just by erased the Game Utility and going to E3 and watch a vid ASAP would fix it. To my surprise i happened to click 'x' on the portal to go to E3 teather (was not downloaded, i had to press triangle to DL in background) and what do you know... I got my reward okay and the freeze was gone!! Yayys I'm posting this just because this is something that I didn't read yet (maybe it's posted already) but I wanted to anyways just in case u never know right? Hope it helps if it hasn't so far and you have tried everything else <3
