Great another good example of home becoming a way for Sony making quick dollar out people who sit on home all the day. The sad thing a lot people will rush to get in quick after few weeks this place will turn into place were people feeling high mighty hang out. But again it might become a dead space like few spaces on home.
dont think its the X7 club more for what it stands for, if your going to make a vip room, make it like the casino, which is more about wanting higher stakes poker etc and is in keeping with the casino theme than class and celebrity which is X7 theme, noticed the last few times ive been to casino vip room though, the 15 dollar suit brigades numbers have gone down by loads by either they have removed they suits or havent come back, or they realised they arent any different and the person in default clothes stood out more, first few times were full of them,
Maybe the people who spend the money on the suits also spent money on the casino packages and are done with getting the rewards like me, I purchased the hat and the high roller package and was done getting the rewards within the first week. until they add more games and rewards I won't be back either. :mystik:

I know a number of the EA Poker crowd I used to play with like to spend time in the VIP area playing poker away from the trolls and all in brigade who have a way of making the games so much less fun. Nothing wrong with VIP if it's handled correctly. I do think Digital Leisure has done it right. Some would do well to pay attention to the fact that no one has complained about the VIP space there.

Gary I already own these items, for me it's a nice perk. maybe not for those who have not purchased any exclusives items and may have to for entrance but I've already made the purchase so I'm happy for those of us who have and will be in there. I'm not naive in any way as to what the marketing is I'm just not willing to drag ethics into something that is completely devoid of it. Luxury goods in the real world do nothing but make the owner happy, this is no different at all. Owning a diamond suit does not make anyone better than anyone else, receiving happiness from it is the only reward to be had and that is in the eye of the beholder. :sigh:
I have both the plat n the new bundle with ruby and sharpie dresses plus the glasses and gold flower earring. Exclusive does good job with most of there items ^_^ I only got because it cute not because i better then anyone. I didn't buy the mason because not cute and never will ><
your right owning a diamond suit doesnt make you better but unfortunately many owners dont think that way, its not directly aimed at you, you enjoy your home experience which way you want, ultimately thats the message, its just we have a lot of people on here that have done more for home as a community and spent more money than a lot of people, and when I can create a new account buy a diamond suit and get access to an exclusive club and do nothing else to help home it tends to grind peoples gears a bit
I'm going to copy/paste a comment I made in regards to the French Chateau on the PSforums. Same argument, different place. Sure, VIP is great. If it can be earned. Rewarding people with the most money to spend is totally disingenuous and spoils the Home experience. Privileged virtual Paris Hiltons versus someone who's enjoyed Home for years, acts responsibly, never gets banned etc - who gets catered to? Fans and regular users or $$$? You damn right, $$$. Sad. I really don't mean to poo poo on the club or on those who have the means to buy these things and appreciate them. Just feel I should say that.
Well stated. I don't own the mansion or any of its perk-related personal spaces. Although I can easily afford one of the not-at-all-exclusive Exclusive suits, I refuse to spend $15 on one of them. There is no chance that I will buy something that I don't want to gain perks that I don't care about. That includes the X7 Club.
I don't think your raining on the parade at all and I respect your viewpoint. But I don't think Sony would be doing this if their wasn't a demand for it and they obviously have sold enough exclusives to make this a worthwhile venture. I'm not at all disillusioned that I earned something by buying from Exclusives and I'm very willing to earn a perk if that is the way it's presented but money is the defining factor as it seems for this space and anyone who is willing to spend some money can enter, there's nothing really about this that segregates the community and in my view it's no different than a person who could afford to buy the latest ship in Novus Prime to play the newest missions.

We are all unique and exclusive we all love home and I hope we all meet up in sodium for a blue drink lol
To me, these are some "exclusive" items in PSHome... ... the others "exclusive" are just overpriced items that anyone can buy :lookaround:
