OMG!! Ok its soo official the forums are junked!!! I just logged into HOME and notice on the message of the day.. an add for the 'new and improved HOME forums' at the VERY top of the message!! All my time in home they NEVEEERRR put an ad up for the forum... but now they have?!! If thats not proof that posting is dead.. and near gone.. I dont know what else says it. Can we get someone to play taps please??
I replyed to one my threads today and its not moved up tot he front page, so its still not listing threads right has there wasa few others that where showing long eg "last reply 30min ago" showing after threads with "last reply 3 hours ago".
oh i know people are posting carla! Im just saying for the HOME team to try and push the 'new and improved' via HOME just screams .. ick. Specially after all the and still negative issues with the setup.. and with mohawk ;P
Yeah i know what your saying, just saying its still got errors also that they should address first, threads not moving up the list when replyed to is a very basic error for a forum to have and should not happen.
Heh Also love the fix to that blinding white theme, word filtering.. And its nearly 10 days away from a one month start date.
The white theme should be a 30 sec fix, just edit #FFFFFF in the background css to a gray like #F0F0F0.

Well any forum admin should have the basic powers and understanding to make small css edits via the tools at hand like the following, if Jive don't give the forum admin even this basic control then they really are bad.
agreed you dont have to tell me I admin and mod for two forums running PHPBB You do vbulletin.. Soon you will hear mohawk say on the 1yr anniversary of the change "We're still working on the bugs its a new forum we have to approve everything through the higher-ups". :> I want to place bets for that Ohhh After 3 emails to Sony support I am now being told to find out why & how long Im banned/suspended from the forums... I need to email them my home address/phone #/PSN ID/Start Date I joined PSN/etc... Am i wrong in thinking.. I'm getting the run around?
I'm a little late to the party, but I'm throwing in my two cents. I was never a big fan of the U.S. Forums anyway. That being said, this latest "update" (read backwards step) and rule change will make me even less active there. Sony can't make up its' mind on whether they except region hopping or not. They send a mixed message. On one hand, they officially ban it and then on the other they look the other way when we do it (for the most part). It always comes down to money, and I'm sure this is no exception. I'm sure Sony officially doesn't want region hopping due to their developer agreements. However, I'm sure they love the money we all spend in other regions. But to ban us from talking about other regions in the U.S. Forums is just silly. Especially, when they look the other way when our credit card comes out. I also think the U.S. Home Team doesn't like us talking about how good the events are in Japan say vs. the lame ones in the U.S. Instead of reading those comments and LISTENING to their users, they just try some lame idea to cover that fact up.
rofl that is sad they are having to let people know about the forums in home. you would think that would be a sign that something is wrong with those forums but nooooo they think eveything is fine lol. and kitty it does seem like you are getting the run around cause you should know by now why you are banned from the forums and how long.
Its odd -.- .... I mean honestly I finally can guest view the forums.. so I can view .. just... LOL But I was given a fun link by Sony Support in reporting a complaint about Mohawktown!! The support rep gave me a URL for a specific... complaint form... only for registering a complaint about users..
well mohawk is kinda a user i guess lol . well i am in the same boat as i can veiw the forums also but can't sign in. but i can't sign in cause it won't let me from my ps3 lol
With regards to discussing other regions, they seem to be trying to work with us. They're making it clear they want us doing it as little as possible, at the same time, they haven't taken action against anyone yet - not that I know of. But speaking for myself, I think I'd rather discuss region hopping on Carla's forums from now on.
.... none of whats going on makes sense.... -.- Still shell shocked that the HOME team is trying to push the forum URL on users as they logon... Makes the validity of the forums seem questionable.. One of the first things I was taught in PC gaming.. "Never use forums for anything BUT game tips because they are all about flames, and stats" Most of the heavy HOME users / gamers will keep away from it for that same logic.. Thats why I loved the old home section.. it was very friendly and made me think maybe what i was told was wrong... Then a year later poo-poo city!
Correct me if Im wrong aet.. but what I could view.. Code sharing is still officially banned though right? *clicking my tongue* Because I was going to check my local 711's and see if those new slurpie codes came out.. hate to not b...
