I wouldn't even be too concerned about meeting that community goal--my guess is that they know that number can't be reached but it will keep people playing and buying the outfit. I would bet the house that they will issue the reward no matter where that counter ends up. Just my thoughts.
Without the multiplier and for the 10,000 eggs reward, I'd wait until the dominant color of those eggs comes to Lockwood's space, and then go crazy with 1,000+ eggs per 15 minute run, and yes it'll take me 2 hours and 30 minutes. Same goes for the 5,000 reward too. Having a multiplier vest on one region and one region without it, you can easily go for the region with the multiplier easier, wait until it records your progress after 15 mins. after you got your reward (just to get the picture displayed on the rewards menu, just in case), and then switch to the other region for the longest run. It'll save a bit of time for yourself. I usually play around after the reward, and wait for the recording, because doing so makes myself a checklist on what rewards did I get already when I return.
Looks like Lockwood's getting in to the wedding business, there's also a giftbag reward in the showcase. XD
Will be needing a home divorce court soon where the rewards will be the kids as a companion and a certificate wall item, lol
