It allows a PSP near the ps3 to communicate across the playstation network to another psp far far away. But you don't need a psp to get the pig. Just start the PS3 ad hoc party program inside that lounge. there's a button inside that room that does it for you.

The Macross concert hall still in JPN HOME. I am sure might be the same repeat "Groupie Warm up event" for the time being before the official Macross FRONTIER concerts starts. As in the whole "Groupie Warm up event" you get to win 2 bandana (Ranka; green and Sheryl; pink). Yep, Pugi is your companion pet in JPN HOME only. I believe so with space downloaded from JPN HOME which will add up in your HDD, but you are still using the same HOME icon to enter.
That's awesome. I used to collect the Vagabond manga series (it's a fictionalized story of Musashi Miyamoto, also a loose adaptation of Eiji Yoshikawa's novel Musashi). The Macross Event was actually a serious of events culminating in a big Macross singing idol concert in Home. Unfortunately the tidal wave and earthquakes hit japan and we have been in a hold since then.
That's totally understandable. I'm actually more concerned with the constant worry the people there are facing each day currently.

Home is still down, guys. It may be like that until tomorrow. I swear they should've tested 1.5 many times before putting it up on Home already and creating this big fuss.
