I'm at level 5 on the pachinko games (both of them), and I'm at level 6 at the crane (I think).

I'm getting 200 happy points per doll so far, and I'm getting used to the claw's mechanics.

I just purchased 200 yen tickets of 30 GZ tickets, so I'm good at play 5 more games of the BIG plane pachinko and the army girls pachinko.

I'm trying hard to get to the Salon for serving, but these games have made me want to conquer them and get the level 10 promotions.

I kind of wish they put in some kind of indicator to know how much needs to be done to get to the next level.

Yeah, I agree. GZ needs another version update for Downtown. Serving every time that's almost endless is enough to tear your hair out.

Oh, and get ready for White Day and the final week for SF x Tekken 50% stuff (ends March 14th) starting tomorrow.

Well they can have there 2009 Costumes don't need those anyways... They should of had the game that we all got. Very odd there the only ones who didn't get that Home game since the game was made in Japan! Very Odd! to say the least as why they didn't get it.

    Something seems fishy here...

It's because it was celebrated in NA, EU, and HK regions since the game was coming. Japan already made it, so it wasn't too grand to make a mini-game out of it, but since people liked the game there, they decided on the sale, and besides, they already brought back Downtown.

Capcom USA has the license to SF, and not Japan (Capcom Japan sold it to USA). That's why alot of SF stuff has been omitted in Japan. (SF2 HD, Puzzle Fighter HD, etc)

I thought Ono who made the games was still in Japan... Maybe he works in USA then but always thought he was still in Japan. I'm confused. At least i know Ono made it.... :)

Hmm, I think this is one of the rare times I'm going to have to disagree with you Recca. It's not as though JP could have hosted the same SF x Tekken event and choose not to do it. It's more like they can't or are simply unwilling to do it.

Think back to the Uncharted 3 total game integration. Sony JP went though a lot of trouble to hire Harrison Ford for the Japanese Uncharted 3 commercial, but didn't even try to host the Uncharted 3 lounge, which would have promoted the game much better then a 30 second commercial.

JP doesn't have the Hub (which is another story), but it shouldn't be required in order to have total game integration events.

This half off sale is less about promoting the game, and more about trying to clam down angry/jealous Japanese fans. Think about it. Capcom and Namco of Japan are the ones making the actual game, so you'd assume that if -anyone- had the TGI it would be JP Home. But that's not the case is it?

How would you feel if you were a Japanese gamer and every region -but- your's got it? I'm sure a lot of Japanese gamers made a huge stink about not getting it. So while still unwilling or unable to do the TGI, Sony's PR people felt they had to do -something-. And thats why there is a half off sale, IMO.

As much as I like JP Home, the people in charge really really don't know what they are doing. You don't want to do the Hub update? Don't want to have the same TGIs as the other regions? Hey cool. But what about making something equal or better in there place?

    /end rant

The creators doesn't always mean they are the license holders. License holders lease or give permission to use a name, brand, etc to earn money. Japan doesn't have the license, so anytime they want to make or sell a SF series, they need to ask USA permission.

On the other hand, USA can do anything with it. They can go to Activision and ask "we want to make a SF game, would you be interested in making one?"

It was only speculation on my part. Of course, my statement doesn't always hold water. :p

If your talking the Neon Downtown thing, there is a slight indicator. After playing a game you'll notice that two pink information thingies pop out of the upper right hand corner, and there is a number on each. Right now I'm at 1500+ on each. When I reached 1700 I made it to level 10. The number is going down, so I'm supposing that the top level would be attained when that number reaches 0. My JP friend has not been on, but I'll confirm this with her when she is.

I think that's the happy point ranking system you're talking about. I don't get to see those except after being served and not serving in general.

I get the top one after Serving, and both after being served. I'm not exactly sure either, waiting for someone who knows the language to give me the heads up.
Hey those little plaques we get from time to time, what the heck are they. I have six or seven of them, and most say level 2 or 3. I've checked the words, and they are different types of customers, but the words don't match up to when you first say hello to your customer, so I'm confused.
Also when you first start the Serving bit, there is a choice that is unique to actual Serving, not available for Training. What the heck is that thing? I know sometimes I will be Served by someone and it'll charge an arm and a leg, is it an option to charge more?

Has anyone played this uncharted waters online game? I'm installing it right now and it's a beast! It takes a very long time to download and install, I hope it does not block me from playing after all of this. I'm not getting he Granzella game cabinet at all either, my wins seem to be by sheer luck. Whats up with the black guy? How do you suppress him from getting to the top?

From my understanding half the ears item is rewarded when entering peakvox and other half gotten from Edo, when you play the Abduct simulator game while wearing the rewards, there will be a mystery box in game that will give another reward, this is also from the 14th by the way, not today.

It starts on the 14th, so there's no way of checking this week.

The uncharted waters online game took about 2 hours to install and update when I played it about a year ago. Not sure if that time has reduced or increased.

For the furupani game, there is no way of defeating those black guys, so you need to either clear the game before the they get to the top, or clear the blocks below and drop them. It probably took me like 100 continues to clear that game, so alot of luck, strategy and thinking needs to go into.
