Counter-Strike: Global Offensive to have cross-play for PS3, PC, Mac and not Xbox Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will officially feature cross-platform play between the PS3, PC and Mac, Kotaku reports. To make the battlefield fair, PS3 players will be able to play with a keyboard and mouse; to make the battlefield completely favor PC/Mac users, PS3 players will also have the option of using a Move motion controller. Dead Rising 2: Off the Record showing off Sandbox Mode at PAX As if all the weird stuff we already knew about in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record wasn't enough, Capcom has even more to reveal at PAX this weekend. The company is showing off the game's Sandbox mode, which will let players run around Fortune City and cause as much mayhem as wanted "without having to worry about the clock."The mode also offers a series of challenges in each of the game's environments (ranging from simple collection to killing zombies or driving around in vehicles) that will offer up cash as a reward. Valve Throws Steamworks Support Behind Modern Warfare 3 With all the hubbub surrounding EA and Valve over Origin and Steam (specifically for Battlefield 3), it's a pretty smart move on Activision's part to employ the Valve lads to enable Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 with full Steamworks support on the PC platform. Valve has reminded us the game is now available for pre-purchase on Steam and will be playable from Day One on November 8 (worldwide, so we're among the first) with full offline support, auto-updating, Achievements and will also have dedicated servers.
