Rebranded True Crime: Hong Kong next year ?The game previously known as True Crime: Hong Kong,? as it?s referred to in a blog post from Square Enix, will be be out sometime next year, it?s been announced.Confirmed to have been picked up by the publisher earlier in the week, following former publisher Activision canning the United Front Games undertaking earlier this year, the open-world game will launch for all PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 as originally planned.Activision held on to the True Crimename though, so the game will reappear under a different moniker. Mojang gets legal notice from Bethesda over ?Scrolls? The man behind indie development studio Mojang ? made famous by Minecraftand*known mainly by his internet handle Notch ?*received recently a legal notice from Bethesda over the naming of its upcoming game Scrolls.Without any further investigation we can easily see what issue Bethesda might have with Scrolls, even if it does seem a bit ridiculous.Bethesda claims that the title of Notch?s second game sounds a little too much like the Elder Scrollsseries and that consumers might find themselves confusing Skyrimwith the Minecraftmaker?s 2nd game. Co-op will remain four-player, but the enemy and NPC AI has been revved to support a more interactive environment, with friendlies offering dialogue and bandits carrying weapons unique to their class. Noire, Team Bondi, as the developer faces a tortured reputation, burned bridges with Rockstar and is in need of fresh studio support, according to sources at Kotaku. Tamer version of Heavy Rain to be re-released in Europe PEGI, the European video games rating board, recently published an evaluation for Heavy Rain Edition Modifiée, an apparently toned-down version of Quantic Dream's interactive drama which will carry a PEGI 16 rating (marked down from the original's PEGI 18 rating). Little is known about the content or reasoning behind the new, minor-friendly version of the game, but as the PEGI rating mentions an August 3 release date, it'll probably start showing up on European store shelves soon. So, what's getting cut in the Edition Modifiée? According to the PEGI ratings, the original's "extreme violence" and "violence towards defenceless people" have been downgraded to "realistic-looking violence." DC Universe Online merging regular servers into MegaServers this Monday DC Universe Online's rapidly approaching MegaServers unification program will be joining heroic forces together, whether they like it or not. The costumed crime-fighting MMO's 26 worldwide servers are set to be merged into 4 "MegaServers;" 1 PC and 1 PS3 server for the US, with twin servers created for the EU.Previously hailed as "Super-Servers," MegaServers will give players the ability to switch between PvP and PvE styles of gameplay, and hopefully, new people to actually playwith. The merge will begin for EU servers on Monday morning, with US servers following on Tuesday and Wednesday. 'Duke Nukem Forever was profitable for Take-Two," CEO says "Despite its disappointing reviews, Duke Nukem Foreverwas profitable for Take-Two," company CEO Strauss Zelnick told investors during a conference call this evening. While disappointing might be a nice way of describing most of the game's reviews (here's ours!), it's no surprise that the title is selling well. After fourteen-years of waiting, audience interest in the title was massive and, poor reviews be damned, Duke earned a #2 spot on the month's NPD charts.
