Here's a trick that might help ya. I'm sure some of you more tech savvy types know it already. But for those that don't know it, this is a great way to organize your save data. You can also use this trick to manage more than 9 save slot, or to have different furniture layouts saved for each apartment. When you save your Home save data to USB, it organizes it like below on your USB drive: PS3>> SAVEDATA >> NPIA00005-OD There's a folder called "PS3" which holds a folder called "SAVEDATA" which hold other folders which contain your save data. All the save data folder names start with "NPIA00005-". I often change the name of the save folders on my USB drive. For example, NPIA00005-REG2 is the name of the save file for your PDA data. (favorite spaces, your avatar configuration, avatar save files). Say you want more 9 save files for your avatar. Just save your settings file to a usb drive and label it "NPIA00005-REG2 old avatars" or something like that. Then change the name back to just "NPIA00005-REG2s" when you are ready to use it again, then upload it to your ps3. NPIA00005-OD is the save data for pickori, hell points and stuff like that. The other save data folders are for your apartments. NPIA00005-HS08110 is your harbour save file. NPIA00005-HS06323 is for Loco Island. Etc... The Sony PS3 can't find the file if you change the name. So you will have to change the names back to upload them. But since the ps3 cant find files with a different name, you can store many save files by just appending the name. Like: NPIA00005-REG2 Liars Game Avatars NPIA00005-REG2 extinct lounge favorited NPIA00005-REG2 female avatar saves NPIA00005-REG2 male avatar saves So you can have many different avatar save files. This trick also works for your apartments. The save data folder named NPIA00005-HS08110 is your harbour apartment save file. So you can have: NPIA00005-HS08110 xmas furniture layout NPIA00005-HS08110 party furniture NPIA00005-HS08110 glitched furniture etc Then when you want to load them back, just change the file names back to normal. BTW if you have multiple accounts, you can change the name of folder called SAVEDATA too. You can make one folder for each region. SAVEDATA-NA SAVEDATA-JP SAVEDATA-EU etc And while the names are changed, they won't be touched by the ps3. But when you want to use them, just change the name back again.

I signed on to my ALT NA account first today after update. No problem. Then my regular NA account. No Problem. Then went back to my ALT NA account and it said the Settings File was corrupt and my PS3 deleted it. Luckily I had saved a backup to my PC some time ago so I simply restored the data. I heard JoJo had a similar issue last night? Though she tried to confuse me by making it complicated. I thought I would document this in case it becomes a bigger issue. Here's hoping these were isolated issues.
yes! regardless of region, the sony save files are placed in the SAME folder in the USB drive. So they will overwrite each other!!!! So if you have multiple accounts, you CAN overwrite the save files.. that's why after saving the files to usb drives, I will change the name of the SAVEDATA folder (on the USB drive). I'll change it to something like SAVEDATA-NA-FF. That way I know which account it belongs too. When I want to reload that save data to my ps3 account, I will change the name of that folder SAVEDATA-NA-FF back to just SAVEDATA. Then the ps3 will find it easily. And it can restore my save.
