So I tried solving the puzzles from HomeStation Magazine for the Sodium codes and well...it's not very fun now...I seem to be locked out of claiming ANY redeem code for god knows how long. I posted on the official forums about it, but I dare not link to it from here I might find myself banned from here as well. Here's my main post from there.
usually it only for twenty four hours they do that for people trying figure out a free psn code for funds
I think your 24 hour ban clock restarts at the time you entered your last code. If you enter a code anytime during that 24 hours, it resets to another 24 hours at the time you entered.
Thanks guys, I figured it was a temporary lock out period. I'm just waiting it out for now, if I still can't redeem anything later tonight then I'll go ahead and give Sony a call about it.
I really hate how HomeStation Magazine did the giveaway. Most people will probably lock out their redeem code feature. Figured it wan't worth my time, effort, and lock out so I backed out after a few tries.
I wouldn't have even tried to begin with if I knew I'd get locked out. But then again, it should have occured to me as well as the magazine that entering so many combinations at once would cause problems. I'm sure they're aware not to do giveaways like that anymore.
yeah, i had that happen once to me. You will be fine by saturday I think. Looks like HSM is going to unintentionally give their users a lock out... They should remove that puzzle or at least put in a warning.
Glad to see this is only a temporary lock, I had this happen to me recently so I'm thrilled to see its not permanent... I don't blame fully blame HSM for all this but, I think there should have been some sort of warning before inputting codes so many times, I only know a few that this has happened to including myself, and those are only the people who spoke up about it. Can't even imagine how many people have attempted the puzzles and ended up locking themselves out...
Great news dd! Chad, I agree. I think HSM had a great idea. It's understandable to run into unforeseen problems. But now that there is a problem, I hope HSM pulled the issue offline until they can either put in a warning, or remove the game entirely. Once the problem is known, it's their responsibility to ensure their readers aren't harmed. I'm sure they will probably do something, hopefully very quickly.
Yeah that was a side effect I hadn't even thought about. Very poor choice for distribution. For me personally I just couldn't see myself devoting that type of time to get something. Just simpler to go ahead and buy it.
