Gawd only knows how long it'll be before Japan has PSN back and allows access to HOME again. Wonder why Asia isn't up yet? I have 4 of my 6 accounts up and running. Will be nice to have all of the going.

The world is rejoicing about the return of the PlayStation Network. Well, most of the world anyway.

In Sony's home country of Japan, the PlayStation Network isn't yet live. According to a report on Nikkei, Sony must first give "further information on what measures it has taken since an earlier hacking incident." This is all according to Kazushige Nobutani, the director of Media and Content Industry at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Nobutani points to two separate issues that must be solved by Sony before the PlayStation Network can go live in Japan once more. One is in regard to "preventive measures" that Sony hasn't yet taken as of May 13th. The second is a question as to "whether [Sony's security] measures are good enough when compared to countermeasures taken in the past."

There's no word on when either of these issues will be solved to the satisfaction of the Japanese government, and therefore no word on when PlayStation Network service will be restored in Japan. The PlayStation Network went live in much of the rest of the world this past weekend.

The Japanese government just want to make sure SONY this time can implement a tighter security than before, thus it will be a bit of down time. As for foreign region due to stock drop of SONY and require a boost in the stock market thus making the North American server up and running while implement the security issue etc. Japanese officials really would like to see their region server to be more secure so it won't happen again with this fiasco.

Is The Japanese Government right in doing this? Should we here in America be more concern about the security of PSN? I feel bad for the gamers in Japan hopefully we don't catch the backwash from this here give Japan what they want Sony security.

I have not idea Hun. Sadly I don't know whether anyone can guarantee complete security today. It's just part of life. Can't be good for developers or PSN users for sure in Japan. This can't be helping IREM if they are in fact in financial difficulty.

Still in Question is HK doing the same thing as Japan.

I just hope HK does coem back and not wait.

    We'll see.

The question now is will we ever see Japan and HK Homes again?

    One has to wonder...
