Still Image from the PlayStation Home Steampunk Sim, known as Nova Venezia One of the reasons I would argue that there is a strong Steampunk presence in virtual worlds is not only for the ability to design Steampunk environs but also for convenience of interaction. The ability for a person to visit such a location easily from their own domicile plays a circumstance in the virtual experience. Second Life has been, to my knowledge, on the forefront of virtual world Steampunk locales, with such dedicated Steampunk destinations as New Babbage, Caledon, and Steeltopia, among many other locales. Playstation Home Steampunkers Ball (Steampunk Society) - YouTube Production from the Steampunker's Ball in PlayStation Home (Mostly people standing around, but still a peek into a new Steampunk world) As competition in the Virtual world expands, new Steampunk outposts are designed and populated, the range of experiences most certainly expands. Be it online worlds such as Blue Mars, Open Sim, or IzWorlds, or gaming extensions such as PlayStation Home, I am confident that the platform which provides the best experience (e.g. customer service, system stability, ect...) will emerge as the central location for Steampunk gathering as time progresses. 3 Nouveaux espaces Playstation Home - YouTube View of the Steampunk and Midway Sim in PS Home what ever happened to this ?
Nearly all the virtual worlds mentioned have the ability for amateur developers to create they own locations that are usually a labour of love for no profit, where home the developers are professional money making organisations, with steam punk locations its differcult to see where the profit would come from, as you can sell the clothes anyway, and its lifestyle based not game based, locations in home are either shops, freemium games, or adverts theres no lifestyle spaces on home.
This looks really awesome! Im really shocked that I don't see this anywhere on HOME nor any blog posts about it. What happened to this place? It looks really great!
Second life particularly has countless amount of lifestyle choices, from cowboys listening to country and western to neon glowing furrys that listen to rave, thats if you got pc to run it. The user controls are terrible and because of amateur developed spaces you do run the risk of a space having serious issues. Home has more professional look and a lot less issues. Shame home cant get a few lifestyle based spaces like steampunk etc because they would beat the rest no problems. But if I want to be a vampire and go round biting other avatars then id have to do it away from home.
this not second life this was going to be home space then stop talking about it there video link the links there running in home
that was back in 2010 almost 2 years now .... maybe the space was a bad Idea, Thats why its not here anymore Question : ps Home isnt already a second life but in game style ?
