"Buyer Beware" - Unfortunately Sony's Firmware Update Version 3.50 has disabled 3rd Party DS3 Controllers from working with your console. I speak from experience and now have 2 unofficial controllers gathering dust.
Best purchase your DS3 controller from official source or retailer such as Sony Store, Wal-mart, Gamestop, Best Buy and any legit retailers that carries the PS3 DS3 controller to avoid counterfeit goods.
