Got this 2 days ago. Not played it since the Original game (ten years ago???) It's taking some getting used to but i'll get there!
The original was the only one I've played too How is the new one? I saw a friend playing it a little and it certainly looks nice. I have a thing for dressing virtual characters up and arranging houses (hence my interest in Home) so I figure this should be right up my street.
Its really good fun and very addictive... however I don't think I can reccomend anyone buys the Sims3 for PS3 or Xbos right now... theres a really nasty bug that messes up game saves. Basically you can't save your game! On the PS3 you can of course back up your game saves but the bug affects a "profile" that cant be backed up and contains all the goodies that you actually unlock!! I posted about it in my blog here - http://piacomic.wordpress.com/2010/11/09/sims3-console-save-game-bug/ But to save you having to leave the forum I'll copy and paste it : It's a real shame but yeah I can't recommend buying Sims3 until they fix this
I've played TheSims for PS2 PSP & PS3, even TheUrbz Each has lost something to the game. TheSims3 looks great really BUT the developers got lazzy. There is no multi player Only trading items between friends, houses clothing styles Sims things like that however i've downloaded a friend's Sims into my game & haven't seen that Sim yet I think the friend has to be online for the sim to be seen. Clothing was done really lazily, you have a decent selection of clothing but if you want to download new clothing u have to register with the EA online service, OK the clothing u download ISN'T NEW it's the same exact clothing u already have just with a different design. Sims Death, since i've gotten TheSims3 from when it was released only 1 sim died, kinda boring when your Sims are nearly immortal. No venus fly trap or creating your own meals like in TheSims2 No weather not even rain Just night & day, Very few sims fights u gotta try hard 4 that. If you played TheSims on consoles you'll notice things that were lost
yeah... I've been trying to get my sims to fight by having the male flirt with other women... it's hilarious. she just seems to accept it
