I just got a survey regarding Home, They ask about a new CP. The pictures look more like an indoor mall. Dang it i finished it and can't post pics. " Sorry" Check your E-Mails
I never got an email about any survey... How do you sign up for those? I don't like that concept for a Central Plaza. However, it'd look fine for a new Mall.
I definitely like it!!! Architecturally it's a much more solid design. It has more depth of detail. That middle picture has a certain grandeur in all the details. Much more so than any other core space I've seen. It has the quality in the shapes of both the structure and negative space of the FF13 space once you step outside the enclosed area. This is serious design work going into that!!
The survey is asking questions about Central Plaza...... but I agree with Carla. These graphics look like a Mall. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if this was just a "tease" to induce you to fill out the survey. Further, it wouldn't surprise me if these "concepts" never see the light of day, at least not in their present form. Remember the "Steampunk" space concepts we saw over a year ago? Never heard any more about those.
Yea like others said it's a mall not a Plaza. I didn't get any emails on it so they might be passing them out to random people and as for the avatars in the picture looks like they been edited in..
I personally like the look of it but feel I have to agree with everyone else and say it looks more like a mall than a central plaza, I really hope they don't turn cp into a shopping complex as thats what the images look like... it will just show what we've all feared in that home is becoming all about spending and less about hanging out and having fun before maybe launching into a game Those are concept images, the avatars are drawn is why they look that way
It's possible that they are going to merge the Mall and the CP together. To be honest, you don't really need to separate the spaces. You can have one space that functions as the first place noobs go to and is a general gathering place AND also has selling points for various stores. And in the virtual world, size really doesn't matter much. (though cpu load and memory will eventual take it's toll) So you can make just one HUGE space that recedes into the distance. Alot of Home spaces are rather tiny. They don't have to be. Hopefully designers will give us more room to roam in.
The whole indoor CP is kind of interesting, but it would be better to be an outdoor for CP with open air location. Perhaps this is the coming Ver. 1.50 of HOME? Only time will tell and checking my email soon with the survey. Thank you for the heads up FF.
I like it. Futuristic looking, new, and what's Cogs? But yeah, looks really good in terms of design, but like others not sure if I can call it a plaza more so a shopping arcade.
hmmm, did I do something? @_@ you're welcome, but Karen and Cats deserver any credit.... ( me puzzled )
btw, I just noticed, the avatars in those photos aren't in 3D. They are pictures pasted onto flat "cards" in the space. Some avatars are drawings, not 3d renders. I think the shadows under their feet might be photoshoped in. There are some inconsistancies in the shading...
Greetings and salutations, I haven't seen the survey in my e-mail. The concept art makes me wonder is Simon Phoenix is going to jump out at someone & wonder how many Taco Bells are in the public areas. Be well everyone
I like the design, its futuristic and definitely different....but I have to agree with everyone else here and say that this would make a better Mall than Central Plaza, it just doesn't have that...."plaza" look/feel to it. I think if they were to remodel their Plaza and make it look something similar to Central Park in New York, that would be cool. Just a big open Plaza with things to do here and there. That would be sweet in my opinion I never received an email about this btw, must have been randomly chosen
