Pending server move (update: Welcome Home)

Hi all,

I just want to give you all a quick heads up that at sometime at the start of next week (no dates confirmed yet) this site will be under going a server move.

This move is aimed to make sure that Your PlayStation Home remains a place that loads fast and lovely for its community and with as little down time as we can.

It will also give myself more storage space to make sure the site can keep on growing and will be a much more powerful server to be able to send you the information your trying to load faster.

It will also be moving from a US based datacenter to UK based data center, but that should have little effect on the loading speeds of our US community but will help our EU based community loads.

 

Just to let you all know, this will be started to night when i get home from work.

This means that the site will be closed why the move takes place, once the sites moved to the new server the dns records wil be updated to point you all to it. The dns update can take upto 24-48 hours to show but for most it will only be a few hour. The site on the old server will give you a message saying that your still viewing the old server, where the site on the new one will be open for posting.

 

And we are moved and on the new server now, well thats if your able to view this

 

You should find the site much faster now.
