Some of you might have seen a new 'Media' link in the menu, this is a new gallery system for the site, but first i wish to get users feed back on what they think about the old gallery and the new one, how it looks and how it works. Really now, Please give feedback as it helps loads, good or bad. Well, for me, using my sony s tablet running Android, it all works better. It is much more well behaved. The features are nice, zoom, browse large versions of the pics, the video I watched worked seemlessly. It is very functional & nice features.
The images have now been resized, so they are scaled in the aspect ratio to match the main full size home images (So you see the full image in the thumb image)
I seem to have clicked on this by accident, but that is fortuotous, as the picture resizing thing you did is really welcome
Okay I see my Media bar says "432" but why is it called Media which is a bit confusing. Isn't this more like an "Album" of portfolio snapshots? And presumably users can add audio bits to go with the snapshots. When I see " Media" my first reaction is to think it's either news items, or advertising, or a list of links offsite.
Its called media as it supports images and videos, the 432 is the number of unseen media you have, you can mark it all as viewed via the menu. It's a way to show that area of the site as new content. Showcase and Competitions also do the same.
