New free companion at Lockwwood Showcase

I'm not complaining about a free companion item by any means, but........a pink butterfly? really? Weeeeeeeeee.....lol

There should be a separate male item or something...idk

The companion is so tiny. When I first activated it I was wondering where it was. LOL

Er well anyway I've never been a big fan of the Three Day-Glo Primary Colors (cyan blue, magenta pink, neon yellow) but I'll have to defend the color on poor Shimmer. She/he's not really magenta, as in "hot pink", but more of a white-on-red blur. So it would have been more appealing to Americans, I guess, if Lockwood had called it Rascal the Red Pixie or something like that.

Would THAT have been manly enough hmmm?

Western cultural biases aside, you DO know Hopper that red and its variants, including pink, are celebrated as warm, generous, patriotic and oh so manly colors in asiatic society. Japan is Land of the Rising Sun after all...

 

ok I'll take your word for it....warm, generous and patriotic colors are a good thing. Certainly no offense to any person, society or culture, but where I'm from, the color pink and fairies are definitely feminine.

In the big scheme of things, it's not important--it was a nice thing of Lockwood to do in any case.

 

These companions are nice and all but the name tag associated with them is so big. I wish there was a way of turning off companion labels. It really takes away from the experience.

 

I dont like the companion ID's either, some are way too long and others cut through the companion. You can turn them off though.

Settings > personal > portable items > item labels and simply turn them off.
