I was quite surprised to read this post by Thy in the "other" forums today Many of the apartments you want from SCEA were developed over there. As soon as we get localised assets from SCEA we'll look to release them here as well, but until then we're in the same boat you are. The Paris apartment is being worked on, however progress has been slow as the majority of the SCEA content team are working on new projects rather than localising existing content. So... items from another region are not localised by the receiving region but the region they are being sent from! No wonder it takes so long for anything to appear from another region... why would SCEA be remotely bothered about how quickly they got there content into EU Home.
The thing that gets me Pia is this full 'The Paris apartment is still being worked on' most will know that people have been getting access to the EU version from the EU store for near on two months now via a mall hack.

Already a video tour uploaded last night of it to the sites youtube, just need to make the main page on the site for it. Has for the hack people have been able to get the space on there UK/EU id's for 'FREE' via it. So it's all there on the EU servers waiting so i don't know what the hold up is, its not like its a very interactive space or anything. To me them that have done said hack should get banned, because im very sure it will not be free when it does end up coming out. Its one the parts of why i have given up on EU, why should i keep supporting it and buying stuff when loads just hack it before hand for free and without fear, yet people that support and spend on Home get banned/warned for the smallest of things like saying a swear word.
very true , had no idea u could hack apartments , i keep seeing more and more people wearing stuff thats not available here 2 as in shop or reward items , i must have spent a few hundred on home and not been on it 4 a year yet so do get angry at people hacking stuff 4 free , and dont get me started on silly warnings or i will get one off u 4 swearing well i hope u still pop on eu home now and again and yr site is the best out there 4 home
This sounds like a horrible practice. I understand its intent, but with Home being constantly in development I find it hard to believe any previously released content will have the extended development time to be localized. I am also completely against any region exclusivity. Except for complicated legal issues (movie licensing), Home should rethink this policy. It hurts the whole community. Home should be united not further divided. I really doubt a Home user is more likley to log on just to go to spaces and play games people in other countries can not, but everyone appreciates new content. So the more new content, the more people return. Again, I hate region exclusives.
It's like the Luxury Weekend Lake House space, people are already getting that on EU id's via a mall hack and the costing is £2.39/€2.99. Yet it's reportly not ready for EU, mmm if not ready why it on the servers and listed in the psn store system.
surely ps must know this is happening? wont they get banned, cannot work out how they can do it on ps3 if it not on the store list , really not on , say yr vid tour and places looks huge , prob will b kitting it out with only 50 items allowed , i do wonder if our views ever get listened 2 on the official forms .... i feel like NA got more home users so gets looked after , even on the ps blogg eu get very little replies but NA get alot more info and replies from the questions ... alot of my friends using home less and less , hope i not sounding like a moaner as home is great but more and more people being increasingly fed up it
i wouldnt know how 2 and wouldnt if i could , i rather get stuff how u should , wouldnt wanna get banned , not worth it just 2 get apartment , hope we get it soon though
You only have to look at the official forums to see that scee dont care as hackers regulary post photos or vids with hacked items with the approval of sony officials.
people using eu home can get the paris apartment via a mall hack?! wow, I never knew stuff like that was possible :O
