I thought is might be fun to share these images taken at the new beach space in Japan released this week. The Another Beach public space and the "Hot Beach For Two" private space are both produced by Granzella. One can hope that these will make it to North American shores. Personally I believe we'll see this space fast tracked for release here and in the EU as well. The pictures were all taken with a built in camera that is engaged when activating the active items in the space. These images for the most part are simply cropped and not photo retouched. The camera quality and lighting in the space is excellent. The animations are built into the public space and do not exist as yet as a purchasable or are they bulit in to the private space. The lounge chairs, beach towels on the beach, the beds and swimming in the water all offer different animations or poses with the exception of swimming and can be accessed by pressing the R1 menu. Personally I was very impressed with what I saw during my visit. Models for this photo shoot by the way are Joanna and Diamond **Killer** Dust with the exception of the bottom pic who just happened to be someone using the bed at the time! Swimming Animations: Lounge Chair: Active Bed: The Beach Towel animations next to the lounge chairs out on the beach are the same as those of the active bed. When I was there the towels were simply too busy for me to get access to them.
feels very much geared up to be fast tracked around the regions i hope it does we need a decent beach
I suspect you're right Gary. Irem Seaside of Memories seemed to be fast tracked too. We got it well before the caves. I'm trying to remember the sequence but if my memory serves me well Seaside was released before IREM Square and The Caves. Correct if I'm mistaken please.
seems such a long time ago now damn im getting old lol the only thing is the photo booth all they have to do is remove that to release it in other regions, this is truly a superb space, all the little active items, the built in camera, the swimming motion, wearing the towels in personal space, the time settings in personal space, if you get the chance to visit a personal version then you got to go, im sure the host will lend you a towel. mines the blue one though
I've visited two friends private spaces. I may very well buy the private one myself although I don't really have much in the way of furniture in Japan which might be a deterrent. I've love both of them. They are wonderful additions to Home.
Isn't that where the database comes into handy? The pictures do remind me of old Seaside. But now we have this, with swimming animations! If anyone hates this space get tour brain examined.
Do I think the space is nicely designed? Yes. Do I plan on going back there in the foreseeable future? Not a chance. For now, once was more than enough (and I have no interest in the personal space either). I don't "hate" the space, but I don't particularly like it either. Unless you're with friends, I find it excruciatingly boring… With a few friends, I can at least (hopefully) hold some entertaining and/or intelligent conversations to bide the time. But with just myself for company, there's simply nothing there to hold my interest once I'd done the very quick area tour. Perhaps in the future if/when they add some actual activities I'll change my opinion. If I really wanted to visit the beach, I'd grab my wife, get in the car, and hit Malibu or Santa Monica. But that's a moot point — since I can't stand the beach in the real world, why would I waste my time lying around on a virtual beach getting a virtual sunburn? Exactly, no one would… So indeed, I suppose I will have to get my tour brain examined! I am curious about one thing though — what will you all do when your avatars get virtual skin cancer…?
Not all lounges are for everyone. Personally tho, I like beaches in real life. And I like Beaches in Home too. If I were to hang with anyone, I think I would prefer the beach over most lounges in Home.
