Folks: Since this is the second time the following has happened, I thought it was time to report an interesting bug. RIGHT NOW, I'm in an instance of Aurora which is COMPLETELY empty. Despite that, my friends can't "go to" me, whether it's via the PDA or from an invite which *I* send to them. FYI this specific instance of Aurora WAS NOT a "private server" thing; when I first arrived there were plenty of people there. And personally I went there via Navigator. When my friends try to go to me, they end up in a different instance of Aurora ... BUT, when they try to go to me again, they get an error saying that they're already at that location. But the PDA Friends list DOES NOT show me as being in their location. OTOH ... being by myself in this space DOES make for a smoother play of OrbRunner! Anyway, thought I should mention this quirk!
:wow: Interesting. But, if when you first go there it had "plenty of people there", where do they go? I mean, how does the place become empty? :: Very interesting though. Here's one for you: :detective: I was on an ALT account a few minutes ago and was about to jump to another account when I was booted. I hit the PS3 button and signed onto another account. While Home was loading I saw myself "log off" as a friend (since I friended myself) from the other ALT. :wacko: WTH? I just hope that I never run into myself in Home. :fear: ;D
Had this happen to me every time I went to Macross Concert. It would then error when anyone tried to leave
Yo Kane: What I'm GUESSING is happening is this: 1. I enter (as well as others) via the usual means (Navigator, etc) 2. While I'm there, the people who have entered before me (or after me) stay and then leave. 3. SOMETHING happens which doesn't allow THAT specific instance to accept new people. In the past, SCEA servers would fills instances until the max of 40 people, then create new instances. What's MOST interesting is that -- through Nav, Friend list, or invite, NO ONE can visit you in that instance. Even in the old days of the "private server", friends could still "go to" you. Not in THIS case. Re. seeing yourself log off ... I would've thought that PSN would see your booted account as logged off once power is cut to the console. HOWEVER -- running into yourself WOULD be possible, depending on how quickly your subaccount gets logged into Home. I will say that in the early days of Home, Nikki would see my avatar in the alley for mins after I got booted. Speaking of "The Blonde Terror" and hoping on not running into people ... this Instance Bug DOES have its perks, especially when Nikki's on! :-D
Diamond: question for you ... ... when you arrived at the Konami space, was it already empty? Or were there others and then eventually you found yourself the only one there?
When I entered there were others then suddenly I was the only one there. But of course, this was when I idled a bit at Konami ;D
