I just stumbled on a cool trick if you own a hauppaugge. One of the problems with taking photos in Home is you can't take photos of posters or movies. And some lounges won't let you take a photo at all. Even if you own a hauppaugge video video capture device, you still have to deal with either your avatar in the frame, or the camera's crop marks and other hud elements. Course you can do the 1 frame capture trick while the camera is rendering. But there is an easier way. Get the pink petal award from the Lockwood egg game. Wear it. Then click down on the camera joystick. And your avatar VANISHES from your screen! (Wiggle the camera if you still see your avatar.) This is perfect for taking pictures of a room. Even works on game rooms that won't allow cameras to function. And best yet, the posters and movies don't go black on ya.
I was told the Mechjets also work too by several people. I'm looking to get one. Does anyone have a suggestion which would work best with this trick?
I've been playing with the pink petals and the this trick. I learned a few ways to do this better. If you push very lightly forward on the left joystick, you can move it a little bit before it "catches" and you start to move. So move the joystick forward, and you can spin the camera around all you want with the right joystick, fast or slow, and your avatar will not appear! You can do full 360 spins and keep on spinning, and you get a clear no-avatar unobstructed view of the space. Also you can actually walk forward and not appear. you can't run at a high speed without reappearing. But as long as you don't move forward to fast you stay invisible. Also while moving forward you can move the right joystick around wherever you want. Though spinning it to the left is more tricky then spinning it to the right. It's always better to move the left joystick a little bit forward when you are turning. It's possible to PAN RIGHT easily. Push both joysticks toward each other. Panning left is more tricky. YOu have to move the joysticks apart from each other. that can make you visible. But if you add a little up movement on the left stick, you stay invisible. Adding some extra left or right on the right joystick while panning makes you turn. You can film and move around an entire lounge without ever seeing yourself!
