October 2009: > Paleontologists discover a fossil of humanity’s oldest ancestor. > International Olympic committee announces 2016 Olympics to be held in Rio de Janeiro. > Lockwood launches their first major shoe collection. These humble trainers were actually groundbreaking in two ways. Firstly, they incorporated the designs of renowned UK artist Jon Burgerman, introducing real-world art to Home for the first time. Secondly, the shoes glowed in the dark – making them the first Glow-in-the-Dark shoes in Home! December 2009: > Astronomers discover the first known exoplanet where water could exist. > Blizzards in North America produce record snowfall. > Lockwood launches Home’s first animated footwear! Building on the success of the Burgerman Glow-in-the-Dark shoes, Lockwood went on to develop their incredibly popular colour-changing classics, the Glow Shoes. The blue version of these shoes remains Lockwood’s best-selling shoe design to date! March 2010: > Scientists publish a paper confirming asteroid impact as the most likely cause for dinosaur extinction. > David Beckham tears his Achilles tendon ruling him out of the 2010 World Cup. > Lockwood introduce the first ever stiletto heels to Home. For a long time, female avatars had been asking for high heels. This was technically difficult to accomplish, but Lockwood achieved their goal of bringing stilettos to the fashion conscious ladies of Home! April 2011: > India win the Cricket World Cup. > U2’s 360° Tour becomes the highest grossing tour in history. > Lockwood launches the Fool Throttle clothing range, offering more footwear choice than ever before! Creating items such as tights, stockings or close-fitting leggings can be a nightmare for clipping issues. With this collection of Fool Throttle outfits Lockwood’s solution was to make combined legs and feet items, but also create the same footwear as a separate item to give customers as much freedom as possible when constructing their look. September 2012: > Lockwood launch their latest range of awesome footwear!
