Foofyloose submitted a new Showcase Item: Castle Durrant - Yellow TeamThe Castle Durrant was a space offered as a reward for completing daily challenges. When I first obtained the space, I went in and looked around, and had absolutely no idea what I was going to do with it. My thoughts were "can't really create a homelike space from this...Dance Club maybe? In a daytime space? Restaurant?" I was really baffled as to what to make of the space and I did not want to turn it into the typical castle with medevil furnishings, because I wanted to go a little out of the box. Well, the homelike setting idea won and I wasn't sure it was going to work, but threw caution to the wind and just started laying carpets and boom! iIt took off from there. The end result? I do love this space and what I was able to make of it. It has enough room that I was able to create a living area, dining area, a kitchen, a bathroom and a small bedroom area. I found out that with some of the kitchen pieces, yoy can actually create wall lights and that lights can be put in the hood of the stove, creating a brighter look. I also put in some cube lights in the bathroom to brighten it up a bit, as the space tends to darken a bit in that area. All in all, I had a great time decorating this space and it's a real gem considering it was a reward space and not something one has to pay for. Read more about this showcase item here...
