Rumor: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Reveal Set for May Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, perhaps Activision's worst kept secret, may officially be unveiled early next month, if a rumored promotional poster already at some retail locations is accurate. According to Kotaku, a teaser for Activision and Treyarch's next game heralds a May 5, 2012 reveal. The poster, forwarded to Kotaku from a "retail source," reads "05·02·12" then "Return for debriefing." There's not much more to the promo, other than a pair of logos, an ESRB "Rating Pending" box and a very dark image of what appears to be a soldier. Activision confirmed last fall that at least one Call of Duty game would be coming in 2012. The ninth major Call of Duty is widely speculated to be Black Ops 2, the follow-up to Treyarch's bestselling entry. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Hits November 13 According to Retailer The next Call of Duty game — as widely suspected — is Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and will come to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 13, 2012. That's according to pre-order cards reported to have come from a Target store employee to IGN. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is speculated to take place not in the past, but in the near future, based on details teased in a recent video by FPS Russia.
