FYI to all you Bramblenook farmers out there if you have turned into a virtual corn farmer and are becoming bored, you should also be aware that you're not generating the best profits either. After doing some quick math I discovered that watermelon earns more money on a per hour basis. Corn takes about 36 minutes to grow and pays 65 gold coins. you can grow 1 crop of corn per hour. Watermelon however takes only 27 minutes to grow and pays 49 gold coins. You can grow 2 watermelon crops per hour! So, will it be 65 gold coins per hour with corn or 98 gold coins per hour with watermelon? I plant watermelon when I know I will be on home more than an hour. I make corn my last crop before logging off. When I have the time soon, I will be a real geek and make a chart and post it here for everyone to use and yes, I really do have a life other than PS Home, lol.
Farm animal tip: The timer you see ticking away on your ledger screen for each animal is the amount of time it takes to the next stage of growth or until another heart turns red. You must feed the animals at each stage or the clock will not continue to run and the animal will not grow. So, animals do not mature while you are away if you leave them unhappy
I have to admit I always grow corn. Mostly because I'm usually not coming back promptly to reap the harvest anyways. And there is something about farming a cornfield in a baseball uniform that feels so right there. Btw, technically there is something Juggs can do to improve it. The reflection map is waaaaaaay too bright. A lot of my furniture practically glows cause the reflection map is so bright on it. I put out some large Granzella commercial freezer units. They are big and aluminum with some reflection on it. And on the Farm the reflection map is so strong on it, it doesnt look like furniture no more! Itlooks like a wormhole gateway to another world!!
