how is giving your friend something that will freeze their ps3 the perfect gift?

 

I can't use it on my EU account, but NA account works fine, go figure >.<

Are You Using The Red Or The Original Gift Machine ?

 

Is the gift machines working now? You guys didn't have any freezes up and asking about your HD being corrupted like my system did, have you? I'm not going in there until it fixed and it's safe to bring them out.

 

I haven't had issues regarding anything about my HD being corrupt :S All I've had trouble with was being kicked out of the machines and some freezing while browsing its menu. I'd say maybe wait to use it for now, but you could always still try in the mean time. That or if you can get a tour of the Silicon Lounge (which has a built in gift machine) I hear that one works at the moment.

 

I'll have to give it a few days before Lockwood has said something about making a patch for the glitches and errors that's making people go crazy over their HDDs.

 

I've given up for now on sending items, it saves me money too Hopefully Lockwood will get a patch or some sort of fix up soon. The problem seems to be in the portable machines since the built in one seems to be working without error.

 

I used the red one, it's probably best to wait for now until Lockwood has some more information as Recca has mentioned.

 

Exactly, Dan. I know a lot of some guys on my other accounts has sent me stuff with the Gift Machine, but whether red or blue, it goes the same way for a lot of people freezing and restarting and restoring their HDD. Just hold off on giving/receiving rewards from the machine if you can and avoid them until an update and a date is set by them.

i've had my ps3 freeze trying to send gift, and ive had it mess up and say the game is unavailable when trying to receive.

 

If you do wanna use it send one item only to one friend only if it says cannot send to that friend try again once if it dont work then try the same item different menu so if its on new menu try party menu but my recommendation dont touch it and put it in an apartment you dont use. Ive got in the bat cave with one chair so if I wanna ditch it I just delete the apartment save

 

If you have a gift waiting for you from a friend:

- If you have a gift machine in a personal space, avoid it. Do not go there, since it'll make you freeze and eventually make your HDD corrupt and you'll forced to go through an endless loop of restoration like I did.

- If your going to Home, delete the personal space before going on Home that has the machine from your XMB. Go to save data utility, and delete that personal space file.

If no word says you received a gift from a friend before going on another account:

- Immediately go to your personal space and remove the machine.

These tips will make it easier until Lockwood comes up with a patch. I'm sure it will be soon...perhaps another Home update?
