Thx for the interview Karen and Mr. Gold. It's definitely good to see such direct communication between a developer and users. I will be particularly interested to see what updates come for the personal spaces. We haven't seen much at all in the way of significant updates to personal spaces, so hopefully DL comes through on this.
Great interview! To be honest, I have not visited the casino or the budget hotel room since the release day, aside from stopping in for about 5 minutes last week to lose my 100 complimentary chips at Blackjack. I'm still not convinced that the games or rewards are worth the expense. That said, the PR and general interaction of Digital Leisure with the Home community are certainly top-notch and much appreciated. I still look forward to future updates to the casino and other offerings from the company.
Folks: Let me take this opportunity to voice PUBLICLY what I've shared with Digital Leisure in emails. I have been SO impressed with the customer service from Digital Leisure. It's both proactive and reactive. I have not seen THIS superior level of service AND user interaction since EA Sports was on Home. And on a technical level, DL's Casino has been, for the most part, comparatively stable and bug-free. Sure, there are a few problems (one of which, NOT receiving the Winner's Check from Slots, I'll be dealing with via email!) But UNLIKE MOST of the companies represented in Home -- most notably SCEA's Home staff itself -- Digital Leisure doesn't hide behind a wall of silence. They don't comport the attitude of "Problems don't exist if we keep quiet". As we've all seen, DL speaks up AND acts when users post problems. I know that some of you take issue with the "pay-to-play" model in Home; and I understand your feelings. Despite that, Digital Leisure has my loyalty. For one very simple reason: DL so far has been loyal to the Home users. That's why EA Sports had a loyal fan base. I hope the same comes true for DL.
