Hiya all, I've been on ps home for 3 months and found out about the Gold PS3 trophy. Now I've been on psn for more than a yr since 2010 March. I don't recall getting the email with the code, or my email filter may of deleted it as junk mail. Just wondering if anyone can spare one my way, would be greatly appreciated PM if you do
Wow....it's been awhile since I've seen that request. Those codes were distributed well over a year ago (probably longer) and I don't think anyone to this day knows exactly what the requirements were, if there were any, for receiving one. Shhhh--Sony secret. It still bugs me too.
Dont remember getting a code for mine I know its awarded to highly valued customers on the PSN after 1 year online.Highly valued most likely related to how much money you spent on PSN
Yeah, I originally thought it was how much money you have spent on PSN, but I did some research and it appears to be based purely on the time frame you've been active on PSN, NOT how much money you have spent. I've checked several forums regarding the Gold PS3 Trophy and people are saying they've never spent money on PSN and still got the code emailed. People to this day are still receiving the code, checked on gamefaqs forums and someguy handed out a code yesterday.
Yeah, there was a thread on the EU forums at the time and there was page after page of speculation about it....some that had been on PSN for less than a year and spent very little, or no money that got one, some that had been on for well over a year and spent a lot and didn't. Another thing that they could have easily clarified for their customers but they just chose not to. I did see a manager at one point, pipe in and say something to the effect that "they never said that they were not giving them out anymore", but I have still never heard of anyone getting one since then. If what you are saying is true about gamefaqs, that is the first I've heard of anyone getting one in a loooong time.

I've yet to get this either, suppose I'll have to wait for the next batch to be sent and hope I'm lucky enough to get one.

I created my PSN account back in August 2010 and I recieved the code this week. I redeemed it, so I have no code to share, but I heard of a PSN user who got a second code after some time has passed... The weird thing is... I think he was telling the truth... :eh: Oh, and yes I did spend a lot of money in the store too (the most of it for Home though ) ...
I gotten the first year one from someone else though, and redeemed it. I think I made mine around the fall last year but I don't remember, so honestly I didn't get the full year reward from it.
