Im an avid gamer who enjoys mainly RPGs and Adventure games, although I will give just about anything a try.
I may consider starting an RPG club here if there is interest. Im still new to this site, so ill take a wait and see attitude for the time being :)
I have also been told I have a warped sense of humor sometimes, so dont take anything I say too seriously XD

TIPS FOR PS3 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
                  Step 1
                  ***CHASSIS***

Use a microfiber cloth to gently rub out smudges and wipe away dirt on the PS3 chassis. If you encounter any stubborn smudges, dampen the cloth with a cleaning solution suitable for LCD screens.

LCD cleaning solutions can be purchased online, or you can save money by making your own: simply mix 1 part isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol and 1 part distilled or bottled water. Do NOT use ethyl or other kinds of alcohol. Using tap water instead of distilled/bottled water will leave streaks as you clean.

Put this solution into a spray bottle, spray the cloth just enough to dampen it, and gently rub the smudges out. Do NOT spray your cleaning solution on the PS3 itself--some of the liquid could drip into the ventilation grates and ruin electronic components.

Incidentally, you can use this same cloth and cleaning solution to clean your LCD TV screen. Again, spray the cloth, not the screen itself.

                  Step 2
                  ***CONTROLLERS***

Use your damp microfiber cloth to wipe off PS3 controllers as well. Here again, spray cleaning solution on the cloth, not directly on the controller.

                  Step 3
                  ***OPTICAL LENS***

Sony does not recommend using a CD/DVD/Blu-ray lens cleaner in a PS3. Doing so may scratch your lens and render your PS3 unusable. If you are having trouble reading a disc in your PS3, first try cleaning the disc by wiping it in a radial motion (short wipes starting from the center of the disc and moving to an edge) with your microfiber cloth and isopropyl cleaning solution. If this doesn't help, try a different disc in the PS3. If you can't get any discs to play, contact Playstation customer support.

                  Step 4
                  ***DUSTING THE INSIDE***

Lastly, to deal with dust buildup within the unit, Sony recommends running a household vacuum cleaner with a hose attachment across the console's ventilation grates. Always turn off and unplug the console before vacuuming.

Also, for PS3 model numbers CECHG and greater, you can run a "fan test" which will also loosen and blow out a little bit of the dust inside the console. To run a fan test, turn off your PS3 using the power switch on the back. Use your other hand to hold down the "eject" button on the front of the console, and then flip the power switch back on. The PS3 will beep, and the internal fans will begin to spin very loudly. This will last for about 30 seconds, after which time the PS3 will shut itself down. Flip the power switch to the off position, then back again to the on position to boot the console normally.
                  - I WOULD ADVISE YOU DO NOT BLOW COMPRESSED AIR INTO YOUR CONSOLE
                  - THERE ARE NOW CLEANING DISCS OUT TO SPECIFICALLY CLEAN BLU-RAY. DO NOT USE BRUSH TYPE CLEANERS.
                  - BUY A COOLING FAN FOR YOUR PS3 AND DO NOT KEEP IT IN AN ENCLOSED SPACE.
                  - ALWAYS ASK SONY FIRST AS THESE ARE JUST MY SUGGESTIONS.
                  - OPENING YOUR CONSOLE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE AND VOID YOUR WARRATY. USE CAUTION IF YOU ATTEMPT TO OPEN IT.

                  Pillaging and Plundering!
