Hi all, It's been sometime from we last had a update on the status of Nebula Realms, but last night/this morning Xaloc Studios sent out an update via the mailing list, giving an update along with some new images. Check out the update below: Hi guys! We know you all have been patiently awaiting some new information from us. We are very sorry for the continuous delays and trust us when we say that we are the first ones that want the game released, but for us it’s important not only to fulfill the community expectations but also release a quality product, all this takes time we just need a little bit more we are almost there! The reason for the delay is because we are experiencing some unforeseen technical issues with the build of the game and certain technical requirements are needed in order to submit the build to Sony for QA. We are working very hard to fix these problems so we can submit the game to as soon as we can! It’s hard for us to predict the amount of time that the fixes will require but we are hoping that it won’t take much longer! We’ll share news as soon as we have it like we always do, meanwhile, check out the attached screenshots! These are displaying the user interface, chat functionality, chat bubbles, sitting, poses and some of the common area in Leaf Park. We understand everyone would prefer to experience the actual game, but at least you can have a peek to some of the features! We truly appreciate your support and your patience, Thank you.
The environment looks absolutely gorgeous - I look forward to walking around in it when it's all ready
I hope the environment is richer and the characters are more deeply textured than what I see in the posted pics. If not, I still think the original Home looks better.
You make a good point, especially with a lot of us now used to very high quality graphics, like in GTAV and numerous other games. I thought the Nebula Realms environment looked nice, the buildings and the lighting, as shown in the video they released last year though - the environment is towards the end of the video, after the avatar customisation part. I agree that it doesn't look as good as PS Home though from what I have seen.
I guess must have over-engineered my avatar on PS Home but it had a gentle flow throughout the whole experience. I've tried the Atom Universe demo and it plays too linear. You can feel that it's a *game*. I don't know. Original Home had a more personal experience rather than just jump on, play , jump off feel. You actually lived it.
Well, I guess the proof will be in the pudding, as the saying goes. Once we actually get access to the beta of Nebula Realms, perhaps we will be in a better position to comment on it.
