Registered and signed in (via Steam) on my PC. Will be more specific after I get a controller installed as it is too difficult to use with a keyboard. Was trying to figure out how to customize my avatar. Meanwhile, here is some info I found on using a PS3 controller with your PC, which I intend to try out. How to Use a PS3 Controller on a PC: 15 Steps - wikiHow How to Connect PS3 Controller to Mac: 7 Steps (with Pictures)
Thanks for registering! We understand that keyboard controls are not for everyone that's why we are making it possible for people to user a controller. Just a heads up, controller support is still yet to be optimized. To customize your avatar with the keyboard press ESC, then click on "Avatar Customization" From here you can select that category you wish to change, the item you wish to try on, and the colour you want to make it. You can change the hair, face, and gender by selecting the toggle in the top left of the screen. Once you are happy with your character click the green checkmark to save your changes, or if you are unhappy click the red x to keep things the same as when you entered the wardrobe.
I dunno about on windows but on a Mac you can get a DS3 working with it, but due to the fact the game was coded to use the 360 controller, things are mixed up or not work, but basic av movement works, what means you can walk.
Latest Patch Notes Patch Notes v0.9019 Hotel Room! We’ve added a hotel room which can be accessed by using the elevator to the right of the Casino entrance. Keep in mind this hotel room is in a VERY EARLY state. The lights are not correct, and it is NOT optimized, so we expect performance to be poor. You can join your friends in a hotel room by using the friends menu.Hotel rooms are currently limited to 8 users at once.If you try and join a hotel room that’s full a small warning message will appear in the top right. If the owner of the hotel room leaves, other users should be removed from the hotel room. Please report any bugs related to the hotel room using our bug reporting feature!Lighting We’ve updated a lot of the underlying mechanics for our lighting system within the Casino. This is good because it will allow us more power and flexibility in the future, but currently the lights look a little bit off.Casino is a bit darker than we intendedSome 2D art (UI, 2D Games) may appear washed out or off-color. Please report these as you see them using our bug reporting feature. This color problem particularly affects the Wardrobe. We’re in the process of further updating our tools, so the lighting and will change moving forward.FriendsThe friends menu is implemented and should more or less be feature complete. Please try joining your friends and accepting friend requests using the menu system.Invite functionality currently just tells you that someone wants you to go to them. In the future we will have a way to accept invites directly.Friend requests just pop up a message dialogue which has to be dismissed. In the future we’ll have a dialogue where you can directly accept the request, but for now you’ll have to use the friends menu.Other NotesWe fixed an error in timekeeping, so events should work again!Fixed a bug where users using the map to go to VIP would sometimes fall through the world. The menu should frame your avatar now when opening. Some controller fixes.Various behind the scenes server fixes.Mouse cursor will now be hidden when rotating your character using the right-mouse-button.Known IssuesKnown issue: Things are way too transparent now, making it difficult to read chat and other dialogue boxes.Stats display in roulette is currently brokenAs a reminder, chips are FREE for early access! You will receive a confirmation email, but you WILL NOT be charged.
I think the most exciting part of this update is that we laid down the foundation for Personal Spaces
Yep's once the Mac version is fixed so i can login, the personal space is the first thing I'll check out, but its a good ground being laid down for building the platform to grow outside of just the Casino, whats good when in only days they will be a lot of Homeless people after a new Home.

The sound will be off Hopper because it was recorded off screen with a video camera, not able to record a direct feed with sound from my iMac without losing frame rate, still looking into ways to be able to direct record. On a side note i think making run so you have to hold down shift would be better, so you can walk at a normal speed then hold shift to run, i know with a controller your able to walk normal.
Most sound effects are still temporary while we are in Early Access. We are working to get new sounds in as fast as possible. Actually today we are putting in new Daily Free Slots sounds in.
Controls using a DS4 on Mac, Note the DS4 is supported on a Mac without any 3rd Party Software you just need to plug it in with the USB (Not tested via BlueTooth yet). Basic Controls Left Stick = Walk/Run. Right Stick Up/Down = Pans Camera Left & Right. Square = Option [1], Confirm. Circle = Option [2], Cancel. Cross = Exit Game R1 = Emotes Menu. R2 = Open/Close Menu (Can not nav, the box picker moves to the left with no way to move it right). Options = Swap between Far & Close Camera view. Share = Opens and Closes the Text Log. Emotes Using the Emotes menu Left stick up and down and right/left to move in and out the sub menus, Press Square on Highlighted Emote Games/Interaction Press Square to enter a game when next to it or to sit on a chair. Left Stick to move around the game buttons/menus. Square to place Bets. Cross to Exit game or cancel from bet screen. Note the game has not been designed/coded to use the DS4, but it is a workable way to use the Casino over a Keyboard & Mouse, Xbox 360 controller is the only one thats been coded to work, due to its official support on Windows, not been able to test one on Mac because don't own one and i think you need a 3rd party driver for Mac also.
Tested via Bluetooth on Mac and the DS4 connects fine, you have to have Bluetooth on and on your DS4 do the followingPress the PS Home button and Share button at the same time, until the lightbar quickly flashes. Then pair the wireless controller entry in the Bluetooth preferences window.
You're welcome, it's a bit buggy but its a workable way to be able to move around and interact with the basics over a keyboard and mouse. Pressing L1 seems to pan the camera view down and even after you have let go the camera will keep trying to pan down, so make sure you don't press that button and the camera view as no control over up and down camera panning with the DS4. But you can control the emotes fine and movement with left and right camera panning, plus enter and control the game. So basically you can control everything you need to get by with only really needing to use a mouse for the main menu. And keyboard for talking.
Spent quite a bit of time in 4 Kings tonight. Here's some random thoughts (and plenty of screen caps) : - I got an Xbox 360 controller for Windoze and plugged it in. Win7 has the drivers built in. It loaded itself. (XP will need the included disc). It works BUT I find I am constantly switching back and forth between the mouse and the controller. Would be much more enjoyable if I could just use the controller for everything. That may be in the works. I may be jumping the gun here a bit as I know this is in its infancy. - The controls will take some getting used to. Especially if you have been on Home for quite a while and are used to those controls. Jake pointed me to the section in then menus where the short cut keys are. You might want to cut an paste this and print it as a cheat sheet. Forward = W Backward = S Left = A Right = O Confirm = E Cancel = Q Options = 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 Emote Menu = Z Open Map = M Open Friends Menu = F - Hit ESC key to return to Casino screen if in menu. Also some shortcut keys only work while in Casino screen. - Slots has an "Autoplay" feature. Look for double arrows at bottom right while in slots game. That is Autoplay button. Will play slots automatically for a number of plays. - When in Casino screen, hit ESC to go to Settings menus. Click "Social". Be sure to check off "Show User Names", "Show Text Bubbles" and "Show Friends On Map". Big help when joining up with others. - Found that for the moment, screen resolution in settings works best at 1280 x 800. - The avatar customization isn't there yet but it's early in the game (no pun intended).
