From SCEE : As there are less than 8 weeks to go before the complete closure of PlayStation®Home and there are some of you enquiring about the closure time, we will be closing at midnight on the 31st March for each region. It really sucks, and to be honest it also seems like a f*****g ridiculous decision. I guess it's easy to say that as a user/customer, but I honestly don't see how this could be a good idea. The current intro message in Home talks about tens of millions of users, people that will feel disappointed, frustrated, furious, betrayed and empty once Home is shut down. PlayStation Home was always a free service, but all the purchasable content must still have earned Sony tons upon tons of money. I've been part of PS Home since December 2009, and I wish I could tell you how much money I've spent just to make a point. It's like Sony spent six years building us a place to be, (like a city, colony or country really) just to tear it down while making us watch. I just wish there was some way to stop this virtual apocalypse.
Haven't been on in a while and I will truly miss all the friends that I have made on home, I am at least looking forward to being there at the end with as many of them as I can.

Sony have updated the closing time of PS Home, now all regions will close down at the same time whats a shame i think, because now you can only see the end in one region and users with the US and EU will be at work or School. PS Home will now be closing at 8am BST 1st April. 1st April closing times: 12am PDT (US time) 8am BST (UK time) 4pm JST (Japan time)
Actually, It doesn't change from the original plan for the U.S. They use PDT because that's where SCEA is (San Francisco). 12AM is 3 AM Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). So for us on the East Coast of the U.S., if we want to stay up to the bitter end, we will have a sleepless night. Personally, I can't do that as I have to go to work in the morning. I had already planned to be on until around Midnight this coming Tuesday and then say goodbye and go to bed. I don't see the point of staying up until the wee hours of the morning just to watch my screen go dark. However, I know quite a few who want to do that for sentimental reasons.
Yeah, I have to go to bed as well, so it won't be a full midnight thing for me when I host my farewell party. It'll be sometime between 11pm until midnight when I'll log out of Home. BTW, if you guys have the private Hub space saved to your favorites and want something out of the Giftinator or gift someone, you can do that without glitching out. Really, it's the best way to get the items before Home is gone forever than switching spaces.
