@Baron: I wasn't trying to act all bitter because of it, and frankly I forgotten that GreyNeo was female and had played Money God before us. I've only had seen her in Asia Home but not in NA at all, and it's been a year since I've last saw her only once in a lifetime. In addition, I wasn't really trying to accuse anyone, and I was answering towards Fyre's post. I was only stating about people cheating since the game was glitchy and weren't sure how it started in the first place. My last post did seem a bit off and I'm very sorry. As regards to my last statement, I shall delete it and again, offer my apologies to you and Neo.
I don't know about cheating, but if you willing to spent money for GZ halloween outfit, and GZ ticket for Photo Booth. Also, a high speed LMO sure help you alot. And a bit of luck, patients, you should get a pretty much points for the gz halloween game. I only want get a pumpkin hat for Eu account, b'cos I got it for Na accounts. It's good enough for me, but I will still join the gz halloween for both region if I have time to join.
Interesting 1am game, EST. time... Jack got stuck going up the ramp and blocked some of us, as well. Not sure if he got stuck for everyone during that game or if anyone else could finish. Good thing about this glitch is that I didn't have to restart my PS3. Bad thing is that myself and others lost our points. Still had a good time, tho'. Being able to Ska kick the stuck red ghost was fun.
Greetings everyone! I'm loving this event, buuuut... Everytime I finish the game (When it decides not to lag) my points never show om the scoreboard even if I am first. Possible bug or am I trying too hard? Many thanks for any reply!
It didn't work for me last night. (I think it was the midnight one, EST time.) There were a number of us where the game didn't engage at all, while we watched the others chase after nothing. I was in the enclosure for over an hour, so I'm not sure how it decides on who gets locked out. Thankfully it didn't freeze. Seems like the non-playing issue isn't related to the crashing bug and probably due to overload... Funny thing is, it didn't seem as crowded last night as I've seen it before but it still may have been too much.
Just a few noob questions regarding the points system; 1. Are users that purchase the witch and wizards outfits only allowed to gain points? 2. Are users without locomotions allowed to gain points? 3. When playing, a top three scoreboard is on top, are those the players that gain the points? Apologies, the Halloween event does not show any information when you open the information by the Jack 'o Lantern. I have tried many times using the Animal Avatar for increased speed, and since the space was available, I have placed roughly four or five times in that top three scoreboard with no scores since then. I will try without the locomotion tomorrow and see if there has been any improvement. My apologies again for the overally long detail and question. Many thanks.
Hi Chezvii, 1. No. You can get points without the outfits. I suspect you get higher points per candy with the outfits but I don't know for certain. 2. Yes. I've done both and was able to get points both times. I found it easier to control my movements without the LMO, in all honesty. But with the crash bug fix Granzella posted last night, that may not be an issue anymore. *hope* 3. Everyone who is playing during the game will gain points if they are able to catch some candy. The scoreboard you see during the game are the players with the most points in the top 3 spots. The one thing I'm not sure of, is if you get eaten by a ghost and go back to the purple enclosure, if you lose your points as well. Or even if you can still keep playing. Hope this helps! -Ali
Thanks so much for your reply! I've tried sticking to the locomotion last night, but so far still no points on the leaderboard. Will try without any locomotion today. Thank you for addressing each question yet again.
You don't get higher points with the costumes. Having a LMO with better speed helps and it's also due to your internet speed and how fast it is when you're with a group of people chasing after Jack O'Lantern. I use either the Kikai booster shoes (I don't press square because that makes me jump while running) or the Spunland Crown LMOs, but anything that's a better speed for you. The closer you are to Jack and following the pattern of candy on where he drops it for combos are keys to scoring big. The real kicker is the top 3 players during playing: You play against 2 other random people for the highest score, which is shown above during the game. The one that reaches 1st will receive an extra 2000, 2nd will get 1000, 3rd will get nothing. I really hope GZ will release their Halloween theme in NA's Twilight photo booth for a daily 2000 once you take its pictured theme. EU still has theirs.
Thanks for the info, ReccaWolf! In the EU version, do you need to use tickets for the photo booth? The game is playing better but I still have lag issues, especially when everyone is crowding around Jack. I'll see him, he'll do his thing, then he's off and I visually lose him because the frame rate skips about. Trailing others is not a good strategy. I turned off seeing the other LMOs in the options, hoping that would help. Didn't notice much of a change other than the enclosure was less crazy-looking. I might try clearing out my cache, too. My internet shouldn't be a problem but I might change from wireless to ethernet cable and see if that'll make the difference in speed. Sorry, typing out loud... Maybe this will help somebody else out, too. Good Luck, Everyone!
Wow Chezvii, you're off the map as far as Sony is concerned! ;D Well, if you're in the European (SCEE) Home you can try using the photo booth like ReccaWolf suggested (Thanks RW!) to get 2000 pts/day. That might get you on the board, at least but I doubt those points contribute to getting into the top 3 highest score list during a run. I'm sure ReccaWolf would know if that's the case or not. I haven't been playing in the EU game.
Hahaha, yeah hey! Meeting another SA player is like finding a needle in a haystack, but fun either way. Yes, I'm in the EU region, but thanks for all the help DdarcFyre and ReccaWolf. Greatly appreciated. ^_^
