Hi, I just wish to go over what valued members are and how to become one, basically a valued member is a member of the site who as made 25 posts or more and has been a member for 31 days, we feel this gives us time to see that this member can be trusted to follow site rules and to be a good value member of this community. The site will check every hour for any user that needs to be upgraded to the valued members user group, but be warned trying to clearly spam the site to up your posts will see your posts removed (lowers your post count) and could face a site ban. So what do you get by being a valued member? Valued members get more powerful site permissions for e.g. Unlimited time on editing your post (Normal users are limited to 5 min where they can edit a post.) Valued members will also get more access to giveaways and contests on the site, as we aim to reward the valued members of the site more, but we will still have give aways and contests that are open for all don't worry
The trusted members group as been there for years, it was set up to give trusted members more access to systems of the site like more edit rights to the wiki and there own posts. This contest is making use of this, but like i have said already, there will be loads of giveaways open to all still, this is just left over codes from last year that we want members to win and not just people that have signed up just to enter a contest and then never return.
Well, seems it's working and getting some people posting a bit more, hope those users continue to post their views and info past getting to trusted user status
Carla & Company should weed out the accounts that haven't been used in a year or more. Start with sending them an email stating that if they fail to log-in to the site within XX days, they forfeit the account. Don't see any point to having as many members as this site does if most are created just to enter the contests on that day. 'Trusted Membership' to me is more than just having an account to enter contests, I believe it to mean that Older Users are granted permissions on the site to help keep it up-to-date and assist any New Users with info they might need.
I'm almost a trusted member. Shouldn't be long before im there.i just need to be a little more active on the site.

I have edited this a bit, basically renamed it to valued members, if your one, you will now see it under your username on the side of posts you make.
