Hi all, I'm wondering with the PS4 getting closer and closer to launch later this year and no sign of Home on it, if you get a PS4 that don't have Home will you still be keeping your PS3 so you can still enjoy Home? Please vote in our poll above and also post in reply saying why you picked what you did on the poll. Thank you.
I only play HOME on my PS3 (I am not a gamer) and watch blueray movies only. I would like to move to the new hardware (PS4) but only if it includes HOME. I love HOME.
I am pretty much the same. I have many games for PS3 I have yet to finish. No reason to rush out and buy a PS4 unless there is a compelling reason. Like a fantastic new Home
I have a feeling the PS4 will be as well integrated into the PSN as the Vita is, i.e. it will live in its own little eco-system for the most part. I plan on keeping both, time to move out the HD-DVD player and VHS to make room for 2 playstations.
I play home every day . only play games about 2 hours a week . only reason I still have a ps3 is home and bluray. other than that psn is not much good for me
Personally i have a PS4 on order and will be selling 1 of my PS3 and keeping the other for Home only. It's not just about being able to use Home still for me, a big part is about being able to keep this site going and being able to support the Home community still.
I don't play games much :0 I play chess..... purechess has a great post chess feature. I play some games sometimes. Playstation home is a nice place for my imagination, I very much like being free to wander around & explore, play a game, socialise, or to go & sit on my own & look out over scenery, a well done landscape. we need things in home, like a disco, a much better cinema, with more interesting things playing, a library... hey, a library building could link in to show these forums. I don't need games (well ok, a little bit), I don't need netflix nor cackle, I need to watch, Farenheit 451, The Addamms family, The Munsters, oooh, I watched "Clone" it wasn't bad. I need to go into the film franchise, to go back in time, drive the Delorean, hang out at the milkshake shop, I need like a great film franchise, but in home so I'm free to wander around and savourthe atmosphere, games don't do it for me, more freedom
Of course I'm going to keep my ps3 around because of Home. I've met a lot of nice people there (some have become like best friends to me) and they may not be able to make the switch at this time (or may not want to). Besides, there has been no official announcement as to whether or not Home will come to ps4 (I hope it does). Plus, since Lightning Returns is coming after the ps4 release, I would like to keep it around to play that. If it still runs, keep it going.
I'm not getting a PS4 until probably at least 6 months to a year after its initial release. I will have to see reviews for awhile and give game developers time to fully integrate and utilize its resources. I don't think the first PS4 game releases are going to be that much different than what we see now tbh. We'll see, but I will keep my PS3 for Home until it s the bed in any case. No one can get rid of me that easily. Here's to hoping for Home on the PS4...somehow, some way: [bimg=fleft|]http://static5.depositphotos.com/1001911/401/v/950/depositphotos_4019572-Cheers-emoticon.jpg[/bimg]
I'm with Hops. I won't buy for awhile. I really have no interest in shooters or indies. So there's not a lot at launch I can't wait for. Plus I like to see prices drop before I buy. Not keen on $60 a game. I tend to play once then shelve the game. I usually too much into Home really. And most games don't grab me like they used to.
I MUST SAY IF THE PS4 WONT HAVE HOME IT'S REALLY NO RUSH FOR ME TO GET IT . I LOVE HOME SO MUCH I PUT ALOT OF TIME AND MONEY IT HOME IS LIKE MY LIL GET AWAY FROM THE REAL WORLD SO NOPE IF PS4 DON'T HAVE HOME I WILL NOT BUY.
I'm really looking foreword to the PS4 coming out, but I will be very disappointed if home is not on it, I am on home every day and like most here i have spent money on home, I don't Particularly want to keep 2 consoles under my tv. Hopefully Sony will have enabled home on the ps4 and us home addicts can breathe a sigh of relief
I will be getting a PS4 but will be keeping my PS3 for Home as well as the New GTA and Saints Row games releasing soon.
I'm the same as hopper and firefly on this, ill be waiting, I want to see what they do with home as well before I decide. If Sony create a totally brand new home and neglect the older PS3 version, then I will probably reconsider what social MMO I continue to use and whats the best platform to play that social MMO on. Most of the games I play, aren't really that much better on any platform so I've no real loyalty to Playstation, PC or Xbox. So a decent social MMO on another platform may entice me to another platform. But one key fact with nearly all social MMO's is they dont totally reboot a new version they evolve so you get to keep all your stuff and your community isn't split between two versions.
There's several reasons that I'm uneager to get the PS4 upon launch. First off I've heard some complaints about the PS4 like having to pay for online gaming that's made me less keen on buying one. The second reason is that as soon as I got my PS3 I stopped using my PS2 altogether, and I don't want that to happen to my PS3 since I've got so many great games to finis, and a lot of games I still want to buy. That brings me to the final reason, which is the simple fact that money is a bit tight atm, and that a PS4 is a bad investment right now. I'll probably invest in a new PS3 with a larger hard drive first, once I get enough money to do so. Oh, almost forgot, I'm also a dedicated Home user, and I've probably spent more time on Home than all my other games combined.
I am a gamer first that is what I got it for on day one, I will be buying a PS4 day 1 for the same resign. PS home is a fun bonus I meat many cool gamers on there that share similar JPN pop couture interest as me there. I hope PS home caan come out of beta and be what SONY said it would e finally on PS4, but I don't buy gaming consoles for social media so I would miss home on there but I need to keep my PS3 for my PS3 games so home will still be there to.
