I did that hours ago. I did wonder what was behind the champion doors. I was expecting a teleport to Home when it first opened. I had missed that.
I seriously doubt that sony will do anything to anyone who goes into Serenity Park. Customers who just follow a friend into a space, even if it's not released yet, are not committing a crime. It's unwanted by sony and the developers. But users in Home aren't commiting any source of offense. Plus there are much much worse things that happen in Home, with hacking and freezing and abusive behavior, and they are having trouble controlling that, often letting it slide. They just don't have the manpower or will to want to be a strict cop in Home. Also add to that all the trouble it would cause if they did punish people. Alot of game sites which already love to bash Home would have a field day with reporting that. Customers will get ANGRY. And that's something Sony can afford right now. They don't want to go make people angry at Sony just months before the PS4 release. I feel sorry for Juggernaut. It's frustrating to not be able to control your own product. But from what I have seen, people LOVE that park. And it hasn't hurt it. And most people haven't noticed the problems with the Park. I think they should just open the dang park up. Delete the code that don't work yet, and open it up. Then do updates to it later on. The updates will give people a reason to come back to it. So you will get another bump in attendance. You don't need EVERYTHING working in a lounge on day one. You can have it grow as the weeks pass. Alot of smaller splashes are bigger than a big slash in Home. If you have a big splash, no matter how big it is, after three days people in Home are wanting the NEXT thing.
Juggernaut is a small team. Two of the main people are due to go away for a few weeks at start of the month so that would be a hard task and they would be unable to support any people that have problems. Thats partly why they are asking people to stay away until its fixed and launched for real.
Best to delay, and fix. If the people who go when its not open get corrupted data or issues, oh well. Jug doesn't intentionally knowingly put out half baked junk like some tend to. Its not on the nav, someone with admin, or one of the hcv beta crash test dummies, is how things like this likely happen. Showing off for their friends, and their friends friends, and so on. Sony needs to toggle off go to friend, save to favs for the space, would be a simple solution. Should be Off, or restricted access until its launched as default. VeeMee park launched buggy, and persisted to be. People had a fit when things were disabled, removed to fix, leveling and key elements intentionally not working. Some learn from things, some don't, some won't.
I fully understand everyone's penchant for wanting to see the new space. I am excited for it same as everyone else. I'm going to point out a couple of key points : - As Carla has noted, a couple of the key people are out of town for the launch. It can't be helped. It's not Juggernaut's fault. So it stands to reason, they want it to be the best it can be. Remember Acorn Park. Five weeks to fix. For my money, I can never fault a dev for wanting to give us a working space and thereby preventing problems for us, the users. - People have to make up their own mind whether to visit the space or not. It's not our job to tell you to do it or not to do it. It IS, however, our job to point out to our members that it may not be the best thing to do. It is clear it was an accident that it got out in the wild before its time. Juggernaut has asked me to spread the word that it best be avoided until release. There are good reasons for that request. For my money, Juggernaut has given Playstation Home some very cool stuff. So if they ask me to wait a week, it's the least I can do. Plus, I don't want to wake up on July 3rd, only to find my inventory or wardrobe is screwed up. Remember the accidental release in Japan of the Winter Wonderaland and what that did to our inventories. Took some doing to un-do that mess. Serenity Plaza is great. As with every space, there will be those who will not be happy with every aspect of it. For me, Juggernaut listens. They heard how much we all hate The Hub. They did something about it. You can't please everyone, but at least they are trying. In the end run, for that reason alone, they get my support.
This just in..... Serenity Plaza will be released in EU this week, Wednesday, June 26th. An update will be issued for the space on Wednesday, July 3rd. Stay tuned. NA info coming ...........
I think it all comes down to " do we want it good?....Or do we want it fast?." I myself want a good working space...It's worth the extra wait time

Sofar I got a bench from level 2 in the mini to game. A green pillar from level 3 Purple pillar from level 4 Brown mechanics shirt from level 6 and pants from level 7
