Check your PSN Emails guys, there's a beta code for access to Sodium 2: Project Velocity! The Emails look like this (email has been edited per the EULA, see my notices after it for more information): Important notice: I will not discuss anything more about S2 beyond: its name (S2V), the fact that new emails have been sent, the fact that we are told to share codes, the fact that we are told to discuss S2 only in designated areas, and the fact that the EULA is important. ... Dear Beta Tester, You have been selected to participate in a very special early Beta test of Sodium 2 – Project Velocity on PlayStation®Home. We'd like your help to get all the feedback we need to make Sodium 2 even better than it already is! Before you dash off, please take the time to read all the details listed below. This email contains all the information you need to get started with the latest addition to the Sodium Universe. Please also take note of the XXXX-XXXX-XXXX shown above to get access to the beta. You can share your beta code with up to 4 friends. PlayStation®Network required to play In order to access Sodium 2 – Project Velocity, you will be required to be signed in with your PlayStation®Network account and have access to PlayStation®Home. Befriending your fellow Test Pilots! We strongly encourage you to befriend your fellow test pilots during the Sodium 2 Beta. This is a great way to get to know other Beta testers and compare notes, but please don't let that stop you from lighting the blue touch paper and racing till your hair is on fire. We really want to know just how fun and engaging Sodium 2 – Project Velocity can be. Important Note: Please remember that you are covered by the Sodium 2 End User License Agreement and should not discuss Sodium 2 – Project Velocity or the Beta test anywhere but in the specified testing locations or unless expressly authorized by Sony Computer Entertainment. This appears to be a different hand out than what I gather of the previous Sodium 2 beta hand out, in this case we are being encouraged to share codes now. I don't exactly know what that means in the grand scheme of things and I apologize to Carla ahead of time if I'm being a naughty person posting this crap
I removed the links in the message to be on the safe side as well as certain sections and images. All those who received the (new?) email can access the links from there. I included the information from the email for newsworthiness only. I won't be posting any information beyond what is already posted above as per the EULA. Any other beta testers interested in discussing this further should consult the links in their email once they have redeemed their beta codes. See you in the beta! XD
far has i know, codes can not be shared due to the NDA the code is only ment for yourself. If your unalbe to take part in the beta and got a code just let lockwood know and they will keep you in mind for other betas. Note if your a tester all talk most remain on the official beta forums for your region.
On a side note, ill check with lockwood about the code shareing part has it seems odd, becasue a NDA is a legal doc you need to be 18 or older to agree to.
Its true; these codes are sharable. I used the one I got, and then one of my friends was able to use the same code to get into it.
If anyone wants to share, please contact me here or on PSN. I can also trade something for one use. Thanks.
I don't think its QUITE universal. The email explicitly stated it could be shared with up to four, so I'm fairly certain the code is "Use 5 times then it dies."
For those of us with the original beta invite, I wonder if our code is now shareable. Was there any information on that?
If the S2V beta code now solicited as multiple share code, then my guess is that its now officially open to as Open Beta VS initial short term Closed Beta testing to those received the code prior before this.
In some ways I feel kind of skeptical about it as well and why a Closed Beta that already started need more beta tester thru code sharing to access it? Unless is truly out of the Closed Beta phase and on to the semi-Public beta form then I guess Lockwood is desperate for more HOME user to test out their new game.
This is still a stage of closed beta, however this is probably more similar to how Home had multiple levels of closed betas before it was made open.
Yes its US only please check my reply at the following link before, or scroll up to post 17. Thats from lockwood. http://www.yourplaystationhome.com/f2/sodium-2-project-velocity-beta-1701/index2.html#post5484
