I just looked at the leaderboard reward list again and realized it seems to say that the Top 10 players will get all 5 leaderboard rewards for rank 1~1000, the Top 100 will get all 3 rewards for rank 100~1000, etc. Is that how everyone else is reading it... or do players only get 1 reward, corresponding with actual ranking range achieved.
Just to confirm the above, indeed both yokai masks available from the "Time Turner Old Woman" (the "Cyclops Mask"/"One-eyed Monster Mask" @ 660 ryo + the "Paper Umbrella Ghost Mask" @ 420 ryu) each have a +1 defense rating. In addition, wearing the freely-available "GZ Burger" outfit is another easy method for upgrading your defense — each clothing item has a +1 rating (with the exception of the "GZ Burger Sun Visor", which doesn't do diddly…; besides, you can't wear it at the same time with either yokai mask)! Just as an FYI, wearing my "GZ Burger" outfit + the "Cyclops Mask" gives me a total Defense Power of 14 (which is certainly far better than my previous rating of 1). Not too shabby for a free defense upgrade, eh? The combination doesn't look quite as silly as it may sound, either… not that it really matters, as I'm not out to make any fashion statements while slaying virtual ogres. By the way, for the curious, I guess I'm one of the few not using an Iron Rod — I'm still using my trusted "Renowned Blade - Dotanuki, Sheathed" sword, which works great, as it allows me to strike & move quickly. Unless I do something really stupid, I can easily clear Edo of all invading Ogres with little (if any) Stamina lost. Share and enjoy… :thumbsup: _

I've been wondering the same thing. It makes me feel like all I am doing is struggling for nothing when I pass the leaderboard lol. I gave up on it, just want to get to 100k and be done...
Top place in NA is definitely legit. I see her grinding nonstop anytime I'm out there. In fact, I see pretty much all top 10 out there.
same here Diva but i was wrong they are not cheating the number 5 tell me she had 1 week holiday and played 17 hours a day and she has a ssd so she loads all in 1 minute my hhd loags in 4 minutes
this is the first game i can already say that i will not be number 1 lol eben with 20 days too go.Not that the others have more time ore are better,they just have a faster playstation.they do 1 round in 5 minutes i do too but before i can play it take 4 minutes so i do 1 full round in 9 minutes
Well diva even if you 'only' get to 100k, it looks like you'll still be within the Top 500 according to fred's summary! Anyway I'm wondering whether Granzella is still going to reset the JP/EU leaderboards as Sam said? Did they already do so, or did Kujo say the cheaters are going to get removed at the end which will promote the honest players upwards in ranking. Surely they can detect someone who increases by an impossible 28k points in under a minute.
Thanks for the info on the defense rating for GZ burger clothing. Defensive strength 14? That's great considering Jo's Sexy Ninja has a rating of 18 in her vid. What slot do the yokai masks occupy in wardrobe... Is it Head (Hat), Eyeglasses, or Accessory? Still wondering what might be the best overall weapon/wardrobe combo that maximizes attack strength AND attack speed. I'd be more than willing to downgrade on both, however, if the actual score multiplier is increased. (Means fewer game plays required for higher score).
Finally finished NA's Setsubun and I was at 22nd place after I hit 100K. I'll make sure to play it again to stay within the 50s if I can. Last is EU, so I'll have to slowly reach 25K if I could within a day. I only have 7400 so I need to get a move on with my crap sword.
Kira, didn't someone release some new greenish colored hair in Home? I was thinking the same thing about this contest. I've never seen the anime Lum's from, but I am a fan of the artist from her later works. Oh btw, I think owning that Edo Apartment for the infinite healing spot in the game is more important than armor. It's better to have infinite healing than any armor at all. IMHO. Especially for those just learning the game. Plus it's alot funner to run wearing anything you want! Of course I'm not a high scorer like others here. So don't take my word for it. Just throwing that idea out there.
