With Apartments you are able to decorate pre-built spaces with items and furniture. But wouldn’t it be nice to design your own apartment from scratch?

Now you can! Releasing this Wednesday (Aug. 1st), Blueprint: Home from nDreams will allow you, for the very first time, to create and build your own apartment. Rooms, doors, windows, wallpaper, flooring, ceilings, feature objects, exteriors, skies and environments. Let your imagination run wild and create and store multiple apartments exactly how you want them. You are the architect with Blueprint: Home.

I'm personally looking forward to giving this a try out, but I'm more looking forward to see what others make with it.

Really glad nDreams got the walkthough video out before the release, its definitely helped to clarify how the system works and doesn't look too difficult to create a nice layout.

Am I right in assuming the featured items do not count towards the 100 item furniture limit?

Wall hangings are limited to the wood posts by the blueprint desk. Can not add them to your space itself.
Sam i'll get Joey to clear that up.

Hey guys! Thanks for the feedback on the walk through video, much appreciated.

So a couple of the questions that have come up:

Sam - The "feature" items do not count toward the 100 furniture limit. You can place as many of these as you want (whilst watching the thermometer at the bottom of the blueprint creep up) and then you can add your furniture items up to 100 slots as per usual!

GJK - As Carla mentioned you can't put pictures on the wall at the moment. It's a tech reason as to why you can't, it just isn't possible for us to develop it yet! Hopefully it will be something we can do in the future.

Again, we wanted to get the video out there so people can see it all before it is released to then make an informed decision when purchasing, so hopefully this helps :)

Feature items are items you can place when designing your apartment and are extra items that do not fall into the 100 item limit. These are purely decoration and cannot be interacted with.

O0h, I'm so excited! Unfortunately I'm unable to buy new store items, don't know what's wrong. It's been like that for two months now, and frankly it really pisses me off, especially because I missed out on the lion companion from E3.

          Blueprint:Home - Known Issue

          Wed, 08/01/2012 - 12:11 — admin
          Hi All,
We are aware of an issue where Bluepint becomes unavailable when you first go in and create an apartment.
If you’re experiencing problems with Blueprint quitting out when you first play, exit the scene and re-enter it.
Once you load back into the apartment, wait for approximately 5 minutes then play as usual, this allows the content packs to finish loading in the background.
We apologise for any inconvenience and the problem has already been fixed for an update as soon as possible. We will keep you all updated
          Thanks
          Joe

I'm no critic, but in my opinion, Blueprint Home is not meeting expectations. While we expected a fun, creative way to make apartments, we were given a glitchy, frustrating build mode that is constantly freezing. And if that were not bad enough, your custom apartment is hard to share with friends due to the fact that either they cannot see what you've made or they see something completely different. I know Blueprint is new, and they'll probably fix alot of this stuff. But for the price, wait, ect., I expected a bit better. On the bright side, it is still really fun to play with when it works right! ^0^
