What I love most about this is it'll push devs to make their apartments more unique, like adding some more functionality, why buy a basic apartment when we can already build our own
I want to see what the basic costs and the costs of add on's are, and what the ambient light and ambient noises are like. Plus if there is more than one save, if you can change the rooms skin while being in there through extra saves and the light and noises are good then it will be superb.
This might give new function to the Loot studio's wall pieces. Like the spaceship walls. You can use them to create the Death Star Interior. But I wonder how spawn pts will work for furniture?
if you could have multiple saves, you could run from the deathstar corridors into a spaceship design into a planet design and wouldnt need to invite friends to each location. Just change the skin
A few things do come to mind though: 1. Wall Hangings. I'm very curious about how that will work, for instance if we'll be able to choose where to have wall hanging slots. Will we be able to choose how many we have ? (If so, I guess there will still be some kind of limit.) Will there even be wall hanging slots at all? 2. Floors. Can we choose to have multiple floors in our apartments, or just a ground floor? From the video it appears to be only one floor, but we'll just have to wait and see. Anyways I'm definitely buying the apartment, as it limthe need to get a lot of other apartments.
Seems like InDreams is rasing the bar a bit for all of the developers. I can also see a lot of frustration of trying to edit your space and get booted, or inviting people and it doesn't load the way it should. So eventually when they work the kinks out of it i will buy it. hopefully the have extra dlc for the space later like newer wallpaper and flooring. the same few patterns limits the creative mind.
I would of liked to see them use more furniture inside and show all of the surroundings like beach, city, mountains, etc...
