Having got a 3D TV now, i have tryed a few of the games that are already out that support it and i have to say the 3D really does stand out.

Not really sure how much it add's to the over all game play just let because its really hard to tell with the limited games out to date, but the signs are good.

Whats your views on 3D gaming?

You know I havent ever seen a 3D film or game, Ive seen avatar on blu-ray but that was in 2d so I don't quite get it yet!

We've only had our HD Tv for a year so I dont think we'll be going 3DHD for a while yet.

What games are in 3D ?

So far Pia i know of the following that are games already out:

    Pain
    Motorstorm 2
    WipEout
    Super Star Dust HD
    MLB 10 The Show

Have to say Super Star Dust HD looks totally great in 3D, it looks like your tv is 6 foot deep and items coming out the TV, its not anything like the old 3D.

I was thinking it be a little bit better than the old but its far far far better and everyone whos seen it so far has said the same and my sisters kid tryed to grab a ball coming out the screen lol.

3D is like a nice tasty candy, but don't want to eat it too much. I tested 3D features on few games, like Super Stardust on PS3 and Team Fortress 2 on PC. As Carla says, Super Stardust looks damn great in 3D, just like it should be. But Team Fortress 2 on 3D looks little bit terrible and even hampered game playing. Characters aren't separating good enough and it was really hard to get full picture in middle of action.

The Fate of 3D will resolved how developers can use it in right games and useful way. How long you want to play multiplayer FPS game in 3D, like KillZone 3 will be? If i can, it would be few minutes only. Let's see how this "candy" will progressing...

im unsure on 3D i haven't watched a movie in it, nor a game. I bought my 42inch LCD just over a year ago for like 2,000$ lol tech changes too fast, i cant keep up im not going to try lol, Besides i have bad eyes i will probably have an epileptic fit and die playing Killzone 3 in 3D, and i don't want that on my gravestone,

I would be interested to see how it looks but i wouldn't be able to handle it for a long amount of time... and that is why i play games, to be on it for a long time lol.

How does the 3D work exactly? Do you need to wear glasses, and do the effects change as you move your head? I remember a 3D converter card of some kind for the PC that was released recently. It would convert many games into 3D for you, but you had to wear glasses. I heard it worked well though.

I might wait a little while before I jump into the 3D myself. I just bought a new HD set and it tapped me out. I love it though.

you have glasses to wear, and in short the TV shows two offset images and the glasses black out left to right very very very fast that bring the image back inline. Images truely stand out from the TV and look like the TV is deep. Hard to put in words but i would say try a demo at a tv store.

Personally, the 3D hurts my eyes, I also wear glasses, so the 3D glasses go over my glasses which go over my eyes produce some really interesting eye strain opportunities. I tried playing CoD with the 3D, and it's extremely hard to see anything, but it is interesting, I must give it that...

With the way my brain processes my bad eye, unless it's anaglyphic (dual color w/ glasses) 3D, I don't even see it. And considering anaglyphic 3D is a thing of the past for modern tech, I'm kinda SOL ;_; (on that note, this forum needs a /cry smily).

My experince with 3D so far has been a 3D Imax sharks documentary and Megamind in 3D at the theatre. The best way to describe this 3D is like having a cardboard cutout standing in front of the screen a few inches away. That's like those old 16-bit effects called parallax scrolling. Or those pop up books. Real 3D would have to surround you completely, but we are far from that technology.
I think I'll wait for better 3D technology, as I'm sure it'll be coming, 3D without the glasses. It'll probably be like Nintendo's 3DS.
