I was just in Auditorium 10 I believe, watching HearItWow and the other programs, and at the end, during a "Shout Out" segment, several codes were given away. Huh? We can't discuss codes on the forums, but Sony doesn't mind people giving out codes in the PS Home theaters?
The community theater videos are checked and given the ok by Sony, so its very likely something they asked him to do. Just a other way to give promo and give aways out for them, why keeping people making hits on the theater screen.
Narde15, I meant no criticism of you or anyone else involved in the production of the programs. I just find it extremely hypocritical that we can't give away codes on the forums, yet Sony allows codes to be given away within Home itself. @Carla - If the purpose is to draw people to the theater, then couldn't the same argument be made for allowing codes on the forums? God knows they need to do something to get people back.
It was no easy task for us to get Sony legal to let us give away codes in the theater, we've been trying to have contests since we got there. On the Gamer-indepth.com main page their is a link at the top that says contest rules. Took Sony Legal a month to approve of the rules alone lolz. I think the logic is, we are not Sony so essentially GamerIndepth is running the contest that way if something goes wrong GI gets sued and not Sony. If they were to allow contests to go on in the PSForums it would all fall on Sony because the contest is essentially being run on a Sony or Playstation Website.
Yep, basically content posted on the Sony forums becomes Sony's content and due to that all legal stuff to do with it becomes Sonys. I had they problem before when i was MVP on the EU forums and wanted to do a give away at a event in Home.
