How come Sony treats Canadians like we aren't on the same server , contests with costumes not available to Canada , movies they don't let us see with over 30 rewards . It honestly makes me mad, I love getting free stuff but am also a costumer as many Canadians are , we pay money on home we should be treated equally and I'm not mad at Americans I'm mad at Sony , and the playstation home staff
I couldn't agree more! :disgust: Most of my American friends on Home are also ticked off and feel it's totally unfair that we get treated like this. I've had many of them invite me to their own spaces to watch Crackle and they are even more baffled when I tell them I can't view the films there either. I believe us getting screwed on Crackle has something to do with liscensing of the films... at least, that's the poor excuse I've heard. Fact is, Sony CANADA should be on top of this stuff and making sure we have access to it like anyone else on the NA servers. Simply put, if we can't have access to the full functionality of the EOD included personal spaces... they shouldn't be offering them to us for purchase in the first place! I'd like nothing better than a "Sorry, we're complete knobs... so here's your money back for the Yacht you wasted your money on." letter. Right now, it's just a big floating with missing wildlife, a stupid sundial that guests have access to and use like a strobe light (brilliant idea Loot :thumbdown, that constantly shows up on the bottom of all passengers' screens that they can't get rid of, and a crappy video player that shows 3 minute episodes of re-runs of crappy 70's shows that simply aren't funny or cool anymore. Hell, at this point I'd even be happy if they could sync up what's playing on screen for everyone to watch. Yeah yeah, I know it's not gonna' happen folks, just saying it would be nice. With broken personal spaces, fail HUB with spaces and games that are less than sub-standard, theatre rewards that constantly don't appear, a complete lack of communication on how/where to get missing rewards, pricing that's wrong or not showing at all, update announcements that are incorrect, systems freezing on Home ONLY, and pervs and trolls running loose without a care because they KNOW how hard it is to report them and get Sony to take any REAL action... Sony have finally lost me as a regular paying customer. I've spent a lot of money on Home in the past... but the buck stops here and now. I may buy the odd thing here and there if it's REALLY cool, but overall I'm done spending money on Home only to be treated like a scavenger waiting for the pride to finish the carcass, only to get a few scraps. It's pathetic. I used to tell a lot of my friends about Home, trying to inspire them to check it out between gaming and explore a new social avenue. Now when they ask about it, I simply say "It sucks harder than a wind tunnel fan.. don't bother." I've invested a lot of money on Home already and made some great friends, so I can't exactly just put it away and forget about it. So although I'll stick around and enjoy my friends and what I have already paid for.. that's about the extent of my Home experience from here on in. This is about as "polite a Canadian" as I can be. If I told you what I really thought in the words I'd rather use, I'd likely get banned from this forum.
I know exactly how you feel because here in Australia we on European servers and we have some really stupid laws witch has called problems o home. This reminds me of the problem me and my friends that we had we dc universe online. I understand sony cant have just one sever for everyone because of laws and how many of people using them. Over my time on home region locking hasn’t really been that bad for rewards but I agree the movies one is one I hate most and for you being a Canadian and having this issue I understand your fustigating. I agree they should tell you if things going be lock out to you, but what can we do about it.
Region locking I believe is the way to go, I hang round with friends from Europe, New Zealand and Australia in public spaces, I would love to be able to hang with American and Canadian friends as well in the same public spaces without changing accounts, I wouldnt be bothered if I could play a game, get a reward or watch a movie if I could get multi region access to every public space, I go on there to hang out with friends. When you break down what movie watching on home is anyway, it actual seems pretty sad, you put on a well repeated classic movie that has adverts, you zoom in, you talk via your speech box, its hardly a Saturday night get the popcorn and pizza in, case of buds chilling with friends its the same as watching a tv movie, while texting someone from your cell phone
Yeah I'm kinda sad about the things not working for Canada too. One of my best friends is from there and she and I cant sit down watch anime together lol.
geahh Thanks for your input and everyone else as well, I think it's defiantly something sony needs to fix ASAP. Ok on another note to as you mentioned we get froze. Now that caused my hardrive to corrupt needed to reformat it had no choice. So not only are we unappreciated customers. Sony as a whole risks corupted data playin home losing all their game data n stuff. I mean its getting out of hand. Like if you even step Into godfather theses days someone freeze you, as well as other popular spots , that seriously harms your playstation.
yeah i hate that they always forget aboot canaduh eh? when will those hosers down in the states remember that we are on the same server. i understand the issue with the movies, but they could have waited until it was ready for both countries before they released it, what a bunch of hose heads eh?
you don't have to go through the reformat all you have to do is hit circle . i thought you had to also ( did it 3 times before i seen you didn't need to lol) but i think it is just in case type of thing. and yes it does suck that sony forgets that canada is apart of the na server you would think that they would make sure everything they put on the server would work for who ever is on it. but then again we are talking about a home team that can't even get there own rewards right lol. i understarnd they has to deal with the law from canada and that it would take longer before some of the stuff would get here but atleast everyone would get it .
i think the people in charge of home are all trainees or something. the quality of doing basic things they have done the last few years has been really slipping. getting rewards that are advertised. buying items and getting them. buying items and having them stay the same and not get downgraded or taken away. it just doesn't make sense. i don't even know why i bother sometimes, maybe its because i've put too much into it already.
