Hey guys, Today I was on home and tried to download sodium 2 but my ps3 froze and randomly turned off. When I came back on something popped up and said I needed o delete settings for auto save. So I tried to do that but it was corrupt. I decided to put it off and went to my personal space to find everything gone. Still had my items tho. So I put everything back, and reloaded but everything was once again gone. I then put my ps3 in recovery mode and chose"restore file settings" I think. So I did that and was still unable to delete that corrupt file. With this file I can't save anything and am forced to go through the tutorial everytime I go on home. I need help deleting the corrupted file please!
if re-installing don't help you can also delete the whole account, which clears everything that is related to it. then redeem it again. I wouldn't recommend it tho, cause you need to re download everything you ever downloaded on the account then. even games.
I also had to delete the settings for autosave yesterday, I didn't have the same problems with things disappearing in the one personal space I went to but I did get a message about having too many items in my wardrobe and furniture menus and had to go through all my items and put a lot back into storage again and take some things out.
I'm not clear, did you go to xmb under Saved Data Utility and did the old copy to USB drive then delete the Home files?
if it said to delete setting all u should had to do was delete setting only nothing else... Always keep a back-up of ur setting on USB thoe in case u want to restore ur settings the way they were before they got conrupted... It did that to me the other day after i updated to 1.55 one account said my Settings was conrupted... I had to delete that file... Good thing for me is i had a backup of my Settings then and just added that and i got my settings back... But if u have done other stuff now to ur PS3 then i guess ur outta luck! By: DCS
iight, it's too much for work for something taking too much time out of my life. Guess I'm gonna quit and use my spare time on something else And im not gonna be one of those guys hating on Sony for my file goin corrupt, and my ps3 glitching. my fault I didn't back it up. Sucks for me.
