Stats with the sword and broken armor are 45 attack and 30 defense. You can kill the large wooden thing only by jumping up and hitting it. Hitosume-kozo (the giant) is too hard to kill it seems, lol. Kasa obake (umbrella) and the bipedal creatures are easy. Hitodama (fireballs) seem to be unaffected by attack. EDIT: I was able to kill the giant, it is a bit difficult and takes a while, but you know you are making progress when he slumps forward and weakens.

For those that want to know how to win the demon game in Edo, you need to kill the two big ogres first as your main objective and go toward the beam of light to win (there will be a countdown after killing the two orges). The ogres attack patterns are similar to those of the Gekito orges, so it's easy to attack a few times and run away to avoid his circle hit. You also can kill any monsters you can, but you only have 20 minutes to kill the big orges. Also, don't forget there's the shiny chests that are located inside the game that gives you one of the 4 fresh foods as rotten. There's also a chest hidden inside upstairs in the bath house inn, so check carefully. And, finally, there's a blue portal hidden inside one of the tenement rooms in the game that supposedly heals you.

It's at the fishing game in Edo space. Play for 4 fish, then play again and you'll get the hand item eventually - just like the Irem cat after getting all 4 fish from before in Irem Square.
If it's the hand item carrying fish, it's from catching 5 fish in the Edo fish catching game. It's located at the intersection on the way to the shooting gallery.
