Superb! We'll know at last that we have the correct gloves on for the costume and we can clear the cache to avoid reinstalling all the time. Faster too eh? This sounds like my wishlist in a single update.
Great update! We're finally gonna get some descriptions on our buyable and reward items. No more "does-this-top-matches-this-bottom?" confusion.
I have a problem when it says improve stability because every update says that and yet we still have same problems. The update itself is not really that handy for long term users, new users will find it better because the new start up makes them pick a preset and then pick clothes and hair so with luck we might start to see less of the 'noobs' presets around Home, what might make it better for new users finding people that will talk to them.
The last two "maintenance updates" gave us Blue Hell. I wonder what this one will give us. Oh, I can't wait.
Um, I think they cheated. I went on Home earlier this evening (before the update in other words) and it ran like a dream. Now, I'm not saying that they won't improve the stability and performance through the update as well, but it feels to me as though Home just doubled its number of servers. Either that or my ISP just went up in my opinions. Anybody else find the same? It was the slickest I've ever seem Home load up and perform!
This update has alot of Goodies can't wait to see my wardrobe descriptions displayed and finally be able to record awesome:satisfied:
I agree. More often than not, a home update introduces a new freezing error, or some error that deletes an item. I'm really worried at what is going to go wrong.
Like most of us, I've weathered through a lot of bad updates. I've lost stuff, some permanently it seems. I don't have the Cris Angel couch anymore either. I've had a golden bat taken away and had to get it back, multiple times. And for me it's not easy hitting 10 for 10. I could whine and moan all day long but I detest that and read and do enough of it already. But even I'm close to quitting now. For one thing, since the last update I've not been able to get on my own Sunset Yacht and am having trouble with some other personal spaces. Then there's the public spaces, here's the pics of what Midway 2 looks like for me: No, it''s not playable like that. I guess I should be happy I can get on Midway 2 at all since I can't get into the Midway 1 space and some others at all, just blank screens for me. I'm not one to make threats, that I'm done with Home, but it's really hard to enjoy sometimes and I'm spending less time and money already. I don't always have time to be on a forum searching for ways to fix things I've not even done anything to break in the first place. At least when I do break something myself I have some kind of an idea of where I need to start to fix it. I don't bother posting anywhere else and why would I? I don't have the time and I don't actually believe posting in the Support section of the the "official" forums makes any difference. Do you? It's a all a bit too tiring right now. I really, really hope this update fixes some of my issues. Is that too much to ask? If it doesn't, well I'm just too tired to know what happens next for me. I'm resisting just deleting this whole rant. Almost as much as I resist going on Home anymore. Ciao for now.
^ There's nothing wrong with spending money on something and expecting it to function properly. I feel like all the money I've spent in Home has been a wasted investment with broken update after broken update.
Wow Trill--what a mess that is. Although I wish I could offer something to help with your issues there, what I can tell you (as if its any consolation) is that I can totally relate to all of what you have said. The technical issues in Home seem to be at an all-time high lately and it has really taken a lot of the fun out of it for me too. I keep trying to convince myself that with the time and money I've invested, I should hang in there with the hope that things will improve, but it's been a long time now and issues remain, continue to re-occur and in some cases have gotten worse...and that just naturally takes its toll on anyone's interest level. I think Home has amazing potential and the technology itself is amazing, but it sure is a test of patience at times. Lets hope that with tomorrow's update we see some real improvements rather than more setbacks. I will remain cautiously optimistic as I know what can happen on Thursdays. Hang in and keep hoping for better times ahead.
Solution Try deleting PS Home & The data & re downloading should make maps look normal & all items should be back but make sure to that your internet speed is fast enough for downloading if not maps could come out like that
you don't have to delete Home anymore to fix this. Starting tomorrow, there is a DELETE HOME CACHE option. That will clear any lounge data on your HDD, and Home will download a fresh version.
Well, so much for that. It has been such a disaster in all regions of Home for me today that I honestly don't even know where to start.
There is one recurrent problem that I'm having (and it was present to some extent before the 1.55 update). When I change spaces from the Navigator, the loading bar on the bottom of the screen fills up like it's loaded properly but the WWW indicator at the top right of the screen keeps turning forever. I've waited several minutes at times for the lounge to appear but usually just end up quitting Home from the XMB and restarting. At least I've been able to do that because it's not a hard freeze but it's getting ridiculous. I deleted the cache at one point which seemed to help for a while but then the problem began again. I've had public spaces and personal apartments affected by the problem. I'm sure that I'm not the only one. I haven't been on Home enough to review for missing items...almost afraid to do so. Grrrr!
Rach posted a tip on the eu forum, she said the the apartment appeared for her after she purchased something, and it seemed to work for others too. Re: Ansada fone space - Page 3 - Official PlayStation® Community -PlayStation.com It's not the most ideal solution but you may want to consider it.
