Club Houses are boring! Simply boring. Can we please do something relative to upgrades for Clubs? I know personally we are hearing about the "New Home" and the changes relative to "Gaming Hubs" and "New Games" and "New Spaces" yet where are the upgrades to the "Social Aspects and Club Related Functions"? I'd love hear that those upgrades are also planned and coming SOON! I thought I'd post this thread to try and start a coversation relative to Club Houses. There are a number of issues it appears that need to be looked at from my point of view. As many of you may suspect I'm pretty active in Home and especially as it relates to club memberships and the use of club houses for various purposes. I'm also frustrated with the fact that a user can only be a member of 5 Clubs at one time. I don't understand why that can't be much higher. It's not like you can be in two places at one time. We have the potential in our PDA's for an unlimited number of companions but oddly enough we only have room for 5 clubs. There is an excellent PlayStation Home Club Faq at the following link. PlayStation Home Clubs Faq started by Optimus_Prime Some Club Facts • Club Members can visit a Club House at any time without an invite. • Club Membership is Region Free which allows you to have members from any region in PlayStation Home. • Clubs allow users the ability to Change Clothes without leaving the space and returning. • Clubs allow for a space to have 32 users (members) which is certainly so much more desirable when it comes to events as compared to personal spaces which have a limit of 12 (owner included) • Currently Users can join 5 Clubs and you can only be the Club Leader/owner of one club at a time. Make the Masion a Club and Make other Themed Style Club Houses One of the biggest complaints we hear about the mansion apart from it's price is that users cannot travel from one area of the mansion to another without the host (owner) which would require all users to leave and then be reinvited to one of the new locations in the mansion. Now I've been thinking about how the functionality of the Mansion itself could be improved exponentially if the Mansion in addition to being sold as a Private Space could also be sold as a Club House. Just think about the functionality of this as a potential Club House. • The main floor could be a place for hosting dances in that Grand Foyer (apart from the Tiger potentially eating guests). Wouldn't that be awesome for a formal party with Tuxes and Gowns! Oh my! Not to mention the various other spaces in that section for getting together and socializing. • The second floor is a perfect location for a Gaming get together for those club member who want to spend a little time away from the party and play some pool or darts or perhaps poker and more. • The Pool Area – well get out of that gown (without having to leave the space) and put on those cute bikini's and swimsuits and have a swim in the pool. Add a little day night cycle to this with moonlight and wow... romance is in the air! Oh my. • The Garage Area – well for those car enthusiasts who would love to tinker around in that area and show off their wheels go for it! The Silicon Lounge released by Lockwood recently has been suggested by many as being too large a space for simply 12 users. Why could that space have not also been sold and marketed as a potential Club House? Other Thematic Club Spaces So many possibilities from the point of view of potential club houses. Why do they all have to be the same. Why can't they be fun and thematic in nature to suit the nature and style of the club that people would like to have. These spaces could be sold as personal apartments for one price with an additional price to make them Club Functional. I'm sure club owners would love that possiblity. It would also provide the developer with a better possibility for revenue where spaces could be multi-purpose. Perhaps Clubs with add ons and additional spaces and functionality for a price. Here is one suggestion. Can we come up with more? What type of Club Houses would you like to see developed for Home? Club Tropical
That makes loads of sense I think they should allow you to designate a personal space as a club house instead of the scout hut. But never gonna happen due to too much revenue being lost

Dark your so right here I know they are selling it to make money why hasn't it been sold as a package Home just change it around give us what the club has in this huge beautiful space let us walk from one room to another with no problems this is a wonderful idea I hope you guys are listening.
An Island club house would be cool. One of my favorite things about Home is the Island spaces.. I live in the middle of nowhere so I never really get to see beautiful beaches. :crybaby:I remember visiting Florida when I was younger and the beach was sooooooo beautiful. I'd love to visit again but you know how that is.Vacations are expensive. The basic clubhouse is not just dull but very difficult to decorate. I can't quite make it a "club" because of the daylight seeping through the windows. I wish there was a day/night option.. and the stage can be awkward too.
I had a post a long time ago about clubhouses. My idea was to take what is now a clubhouse, and make it a personal space. And instead of a clubhouse, we could maybe pay $2 to upgrade one of our private apartments to a sort of premium service for a month. Sony would provide hosting for the space and download the apartment furniture placements. Then Sony would provide access to the apartment to everyone on your friends list. The advantages of this would be that up to 64 people could be accommodated at one time. that would be great for a party. Plus, being hosted on the Sony server would allow all your friends to be able to use their own wardrobe. That's the bulk of the idea. But one more feature I would like, is to be able to give 24hr passes to our apartments. This way, you don't have to put people on your list to invite them. Just give them a pass, and they could come. This would work great if you wanted to invite a friend to your apt, but they are with people not on your list. You can just hand out passes. Or if you run across some stranger who wanted to buy an apartment you own, an wanted to see your apartment, and you are willing to show them.
Awesome ideas Joanna and the full Mansion would make a great club house. One thing I'd like to see if the ability to send messages to all club members at once to announce upcoming events. As it is my Friend List and Club member list are rarely in synch and I'd have to msg each club member individually to let them know about an upcoming event. Pretty tedious and I've only done it once or twice. I think that premium clubs would be a big seller on Home and Sony could make money selling club specific furnishings and options.

Good one.[/QUOTE] great idea but due to the fact we could all get together and do a time share scheme meaning 20 friends buying 4 apartments each could virtually use ever apartment being sold in home for the price of four.
Well I posted this thread over at the official forum and meant for it to be a discussion in the Home General area where there is significant traffic. As it turns out they moved it to suggestions where it won't really get discussed. I had hoped one of the Home Managers might see it and get some ideas about what club houses should be about. As it is right now they are really far from interesting. Really sad in my view.
I'm sure this could be worked around. At worst, you might have to limit it the way invites are limited now--you can't go to the apartment unless the owner is there. A 24-hour invite, rather than a 1-shot invite, would not be functionally different aside from avoiding the hassle of inviting over and over as people duck out and back in. (Of course, I usually wouldn't need to duck out and back in if not for the nonsensical rule against using the wardrobe in someone else's apartment... in the middle of a crowd of noobs in CP, sure, but not in my friend's apartment? Brilliant.)
There are a lot of big apartments I wish I could turn into clubhouses, and have furnished them as such, but it'd probably be simpler for Home to just release the spaces in two different varieties, personal space or clubhouse. I'd love for Sodium's new Silicon space to be sold as a clubhouse. So many people have turned their clubs into discos, with the dance floor taking up half their item slots. That's less of a problem with this space. If they've created a bunch of themed hubs for Home, maybe they could create similarly themed clubhouses that tie into each area. There are a couple things the developers should want to do: 1) Increase our club limit above 5 2) Make more clubhouses (or just make them from existing spaces) 3) Let me buy all of them on a single account I was planning to buy a clubhouse but will wait until they get some kind of overhaul.
