Howdy, I was just in the NA PSN Store earlier tonight and went into the Welcome Back section. I noticed that the "PlayStation Plus: 30 Days Free" option was there. I was able to select it and get Plus for another month free. Please note, that I had gotten the "PlayStation Plus: 30 Days Free" option way back on June 3rd, and the option disappeared for me after I got it at the time. It came back on July 4th and I was able to once again get it. I even double checked my transaction history to make sure I was not going completely mental. June 3rd transaction was there and now the July 4th transaction. This could be a bug, but I would suggest everyone who has an expiring Plus service to go check out the Welcome Back section and grab an additional 30 days free of Plus, if possible... before it's to late.
I just did that a few minutes before I came here To be honest I haven't used any of the stuff I got from the 1st 30 days, then again I did already have some from my main EU account.
Hmmm... I went to both of my NA accounts and I don't see the Plus icon/option anywhere... Only thing that shows up on that welcome back page for me is the theme...
Zombie, were you already expired when you checked, or do you still have a few days left on your Plus subscription? It may only show up for those who are expired.
What makes me wonder, but at the same time fear banning, is, when I got it, I got a reciept saying "it will renew at the above price." Which was $0.00... ....This could potentially mean an infinite free plus....
thanks for the info casp . on one of my na accounts i got the extra 30 days but my main account i didn't get it till the 13th so it didn't show up on that one ( darn it lol ). and my eu account has the welcome back gone so it is only for people that mucst have gotten on june 3 only ( maybe june 4th also ). but that is a really good catch cause most people including myself would not went back to the pack and seen that and missed it lol .
I think the ticker was only mentioning the free months as in the PlayStation Plus Birthday Bonus Months: Buy 1 Year of Plus and get 3 bonus months or Buy 3 Months and get a bonus month. I don't see anything really advertising another free month to non-subscribers. WaveLightning, don't think they would ban us for that, since there was no exploiting the system. The option was just there. Didn't do any hacking to get that option. And they would get some serious complaints and calls if they did. Also, that Welcome Back tab is eventually going to be gone for good, so you won't be able to get another free month after this one. But I suppose caution may be in order if you feel strongly about them possibly banning you. Still, since it wasn't our fault for the item being freely available again (and could easily be confused with that banner of free months), I think the worst Sony would do, would be to revoke that month. Or they would just go, "Meh, our bad" and allow people to keep it for another month. Otherwise, they risk a lot of business banning innocent people.
it wasnt under the welcome back tab for me, i went to the regular plus tab, then to the first tab that shows the 2 options to buy (3 months and a year) and the 3rd for free was available at the bottom. i got this on sunday.
